05.01.2022 The waste levy started this week which adds $75/tonne for general waste disposal for commercial waste. This is not passed into us in our rates as municipal waste is exempt, as is illegal dumping and disaster wastes. You will pay more for any commercial waste, such as renovations, so consider what can be recycled before going in the skip. Red NEDS and other recyclers will colder suitable items for reuse. Take your scrap metals, in seperate containers, to a local metal recycled for cash, just need an ABN. 90% of waste in this wheely bin was recyclable at my workplace, does this apply to you at home as well?
