20.01.2022 A heartening perspective from some recent Wwoofers Hello all, We got to say goodbye to some of you, but wish to thank everyone for hosting us for the fortnight. We came to see community in action and this we did. We were impressed with your very real commitment to food sustainability, the accumulated knowledge for same, and the cooperative, quiet, get on with it system in which every little detail of this is organized. The other thing that impressed us was your attention to s...uccession, and bringing in the next generations of members. Also thanks to those we worked with, sharing fresh air and stories. Peter: I appreciated how people listened to me whilst finding my voice, getting ones needs met in community and relationships in general is no easy thing. Susanne: I am grateful for experiencing what it means to commit to a community. I appreciated the structure and rituals that help to stay connected and how everyone found his personal approach to it. Thank you for the space you offered us - for learning more about life, Dharmananda-style. All the best, Susanne & Peter"
19.01.2022 Green Jackfruit makes a wonderful curry or any other ragout, stew or goulash as the texture is softly fibrous. The seeds can be boiled for about 20 minutes and eaten or then roasted and salted and snacked on.
