Adam Farrar and Jo Lees are painstakingly recording every rider on every ride. Ensure you RSVP, participate in photos, record your ride on Strava preferably, and download the COVIDSafe app.

21.01.2022 Congratulations to William Kirkham who this week has signed with ONYVA NRS Racing Team for the remainder of 2020 and then 2021. Will started riding with the club when he was 9 years old on the track and has risen through the ranks ably supported by his parents and fellow members of the club Katrina and Dougie Kirkham. 19.01.2022 Saturday morning is a perfect session for newer riders to come down and experience the track. Even the most inexperienced riders can come and ride at Tempe as it's not as steep or slippery as an indoor velodrome, but still plenty fast. Track bikes available, included in the $10 track fee. Each week we run a variety of timed events so you can see yourself improve, alongside drills and events to improve your riding.

17.01.2022 Our velodrome is being upgraded! Thanks to Canterbury Bankstown City Council they are beginning work on the velodrome on Monday 23rd November. The work includes improving concrete joints and line marking. It will mean the velodrome is closed for approximately 3 weeks. We have some last minute training including tonight (Wed 18th Nov), Saturday at 830am and Sunday at 230pm. Charlie Dale will be posting alternate training locations on the DHBC Track page including Hurstville, Lidcombe and Dunc Gray.

10.01.2022 A wonderful turnout for the Memorial Ride held this morning for Nick Ruygrok who died in a tragic accident on this day and this club ride 5 years ago. The ride also serves to highlight road safety and a reminder that DHBC will always advocate for increased safety measures for vulnerable road users.

09.01.2022 Not a bad shot from Dave Ranx on Mossie Alps this morning. Beautiful weather before a weekend of rain.

08.01.2022 Due to the unfolding situation on the Northern Beaches, we would suggest our members make new plans if they had planned to ride north this weekend. Similarly, if you have been in the area over the last couple of days, please don’t attend a club ride and abide by NSW Health guidelines around testing and self isolating.

06.01.2022 A reminder to all our members that a ‘Snot Rocket’, ‘Bushman’s Hanky’ or ‘Farmer Snort’, are not permitted in our bunches At. Any. Time. Regardless of the fact we are in a pandemic, this is gross. Please remind your fellow riders if you come across it.

Cycling Australia (CA), the previous national body for road and track, will cease to operate at that time, and all its functions will be subsumed by AusCycling. Twelve months ago, in the process leading up to this, DHBC members voted overwhelmingly to support the formation ...Continue reading
