22.01.2022 G’day! Here we have a very simple constructed but characteristic hallway stand made using Radiata pine slabs. The construction is very simple using butt joints and mechanical bonding using 100mm galvanized batten screws which makes for a strong joint even without joinery and glue. The coating system is an oil-based clear exterior varnish applied twice to the frame and thrice to the top slab for extra gloss. This specific piece is more suited to indoor conditions. The next few i will be using some basic joinery to really give this design even more strength and durableness for both indoor and outdoor conditions. Cheers all and be well during this merry season.

19.01.2022 G'day. Hope you all had a most excellent holiday season. Awhile back i said i would post a video of my red stringybark primitve bow in action. This is the 20lb being shot. Unfortunately the 30lb i made snapped due to overdrawing i believe. But that's ok because that means i need to make another and improve my bow building skills. More posts coming very soon for a new year. As always be well and stay well.

16.01.2022 Here's a piece of custom signage i completed a while ago for a customer. A bit of both careful routing and some hand tool carving for this signage. Also the slab of pine i chose is quite beautiful as well. Absolutely enjoyed the challenge and it turned out looking pretty nice too.

10.01.2022 Here's some new hand routed signage completed. Will be working on more soon. I have 3 main timbers I use Red stringybark, Oregon and Pine. But I have acquired some Red ironbark which I have only a limited supply of unfortunately. I'm thinking of using using some for signage as it's an extremely strong robust timber as well as looking absolutely gorgeous when finished. It will be limited edition DHMC signage.

02.01.2022 Australia day is coming up so i was inspired to make some wooden Australian flags. I selected some beautiful pieces of pine with blue stain for the flag base and stars. For the union jack i used red gum and spotted gum. All pieces i inlaid into the pine flag base and left protruding to give an awesome 3D look. From left to right they are coated with clear varnish satin finish, linseed oil and the third is plain for a finish of choosing. Each flag is 705mm in Length and 455mm in height. I have attached chain to the back for hanging. I will be selling these for $100 each and can be made to order. You all have a brilliant Australia day. Aussie Aussie Aussie! Oi Oi Oi!
