24.01.2022 DHMDK will have a two week break. The last club training for 2019 will be on Saturday 21st December. Training will recommence in 2020 on Tuesday 7th January. However during the break there will be holiday training at the club on the following dates. - Thursday 26th December 2019 (7pm-9pm) - Tuesday 31st December 2019 (7pm-9pm) - Saturday 4th January 2020 (4pm-6pm)... 23.01.2022 On Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th December 2019, the NSW Kendo Championship was held at the Sports Centre, University of Sydney Cumberland campus, Lidcombe. Miko Abellera, James Oh, Alex Jin, Jenny Song, Chris Chon, Bongsuk Song, Daniel Duna Kim, Brent Kwon and Dwight Park represented DHMDK in various individual and team events. The following results were acheived. Individuals Men's Kyu Division A (1st Kyu - 3rd Kyu): 2nd - Alex Jin... Women's Dan Division B (1st Dan - 3rd Dan): 1st - Jenny Song Teams 1st - DHMDK (Team Members: Bongsuk Song, Chris Chon, Daniel Duna Kim, Brent Kwon, Dwight Park) Congratulations!



22.01.2022 Hi everyone. As you all should know the federal government has restricted any sporting. Therefore Master Song has stated that he will advise everyone when training will return. Master Song has stated that everyone should run at least 30 minutes 3-5 times a week. At the moment the government allows you to run as long as you do it with social distancing and no more than two people. If you cannot do any running, we will be posting some short training programs to do at home.... Keep safe, stay home and if you are out keep your social distance and wash your hands. 22.01.2022 On Sunday 16th February 2020, Miko Abellera and Brent Kwon competed at the UTS Shield which was held at the Ross Milbourne Sports Hall, UTS. Miko placed 2nd in the Kyu Division A (1st kyu - 3rd kyu) and Brent placed 2nd in the 4th Dan Division. Congratulations.

12.01.2022 Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the upcoming 45th Australian Kendo Championships, Seminar and grading has been cancelled. Australian Kendo Renmei's primary consid...erations are the health, safety and well-being of our members. 100% of the individual registration fees for 45th Australian Kendo Championships will be refunded. The refund will be processed within 2 weeks by the VKR. We apologise for any inconveniences that this decision has caused you however we have obligation to our members and broader society to make every attempt to contain the spread of the infection. The next Australian Kendo Championships - the 45th Australian Kendo Championships in 2021, will be in Melbourne hosted by the VKR.

09.01.2022 Saturday 19th December 2020 - A successful internal club grading to cap it off with our end of year celebrations. We were a little restricted but got through it with a great year for our club. We have individually and together as one have grown so much. Yet there is still so much to learn. Let's continue to learn to be more disciplined, respectful, courageous and give it our all to learn the way of the sword. Bring on 2021 and beyond. Again from Master Song and DHMDK Kumdo have a safe and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Nous vous tiendrons informé dès qu'une nouvelle date sera décidée Due to the Covid-19 epidemic and the international transportation situation, the FIK Board Meeting which will be held in near future will discuss and decide whether or not the World Kendo Championship scheduled for May 2021 should be postponed. We will keep you informed once the decision be made at FIK board meeting.

06.01.2022 We all have been through an eventful year like no other. However we were able to endure the year and continue to train either at home, the park and the club. This experience has made us stronger mentally, emotionally and physically. DHMDK Kumdo will be on break from Sunday 20th December 2020 till Monday 4th January 2021. During the break there will be one training between 7pm and 9pm Tuesday 29th December 2020. Our first training for 2021 will be on Tuesday 5th January. Master Song and DHMDK Kumdo would like to wish everyone a safe and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

05.01.2022 Hi everyone. Great news, from 1st July, the NSW government is allowing the return of contact sports/martial arts. Our first training back will be at 7pm Thursday 2nd July at the club. There will be rules put in place to prevent any spread of COVID-19 within the club. The Australian Kendo Renmei has also stated that there is to be no inter-club training until further notice.... If there are any questions please feel free to ask. Thank you and we will see everyone back at training.
