25.01.2022 Running in before the storm. Those skies!

24.01.2022 Outsider 3 moored up in the Midwest this morning, having finished the Gascoyne season on a high note. We had a fun filled trip to Carnarvon and brought the boat, truck and all the gear home. Special thanks to Pickles Point Seafood and Boatyard - a great seafood business owned by lovely people. Kudos to Bumbak's Pickles and Preserves and the Grower's Market for some lovely treats. Thanks to George for driving the truck, and providing us with many laughs. Skipper is taking a well earned day off!

22.01.2022 Outsider 3 left Kalbarri this morning with two new deckhands aboard. Welcome aboard guys. And so we start back into our Midwest fishing days. Its exciting to fish in different places, but its nice to be in home waters again.

21.01.2022 OVEN BAKED SNAPPER Whole snapper (about 1.5 kg) 1cm piece ginger, sliced 1 Tbspoon fresh coriander, torn... 1 Tbspoon fresh basil, torn 1/2 cup papaya, sliced 2 Tbspoons olive oil 1/2 cup white wine (or juice) Preheat oven 180 C Place fish on large sheet of foil, and fold edges up so liquid doesn't spill out. Arrangesluces of papaya, ginger and herbs around fish. Add oil and wine. Fold the rest of the foil over the fish to create a parcel. Bake 30 -35 minutes. See more

12.01.2022 Guys, to the applicants from the eastern states, you will know by now that WA has closed its borders for a while. Don't stress, we are not appointing until the end of August. And, if I have advised you to send a resume, I am keeping your applications.

11.01.2022 Applying for a commercial fishing licence is quite easy. Take your ID to Fisheries, pay $1 (yep, current price is $1). If you are keen to work in the fishing industry, this puts you a step closer to a job. You can't work on a commercial vessel without one.
