25.01.2022 Congratulations to our new DIA Hall of Fame inductees: Alexander Stitt, Peter Bayly FDIA, Lyndon Whaite and Kjell Grant. On Thursday 29th November 2012, these f...our design champions were inducted into the 2011 Hall of Fame, surrounded by their friends, family and long-time industry colleagues. The opportunity was also taken to celebrate Geoff Fitzpatrick as he retires from his position as DIA Director of Design Strategy. See more

25.01.2022 On Friday 30th May, the Design Institute of Australia’s Hall of Fame warmly welcomed seven new inductees. Congratulations to Ian Archibald, Bryon Cunningham, Ia...n Edgar, Janne Faulkner, Max Robinson, Roger Simpson and Leon van Schaik. 23.01.2022 Thursday 13th November was the opening night launch for 'Test Pattern.' And what a great turn out it was, with a full house, and the exhibition looked fantastic! Congratulations to the graphic design graduates of University of Canberra's Melbourne Campus for putting on such a good night. And if you missed it, NOT TO WORRY, they will be on display until Thursday 27 November.

16.01.2022 Entries for the VIC/TAS Graduate of the Year Award’s (GOTYA’s) 2012 are now on display at the DIA Design Gallery! Come and peruse the brilliant work of Victoria and Tasmania’s top design graduates which will be on display from Monday 29th April Friday 10th May 2013. Established by the Design Institute of Australia, the GOTYA’s recognises excellence in emerging designers in the disciplines of Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Furniture Design, Jewellery Design, Textile & Fashion Design, Interior Design and Interior Design & Decoration. Each Category GOTYA recipient will go on to compete at the DIA Australasian Graduate of the Year Awards to be announced in May at this years’ designEX in Melbourne.

11.01.2022 Dulux Australia have launched 'Future Tribes' the Dulux Colour Forecast for 2014. An exclusive instalment featuring the 2014 colour palettes was showcased at the DIA Design Gallery with a special media launch to boot. We hope everyone enjoyed their night and we are absolutely delighted that our little gallery got a lovely fresh coat of paint too.

09.01.2022 If you missed out on visiting the fabulous DIA/AGOTYA stand at DesignEX this year, then not to worry. The winners of the Australasian Graduate of the Year Awards have been announced and are now on display at the DIA Design Gallery! Come and see the winning entries of AGOTYA, the Design Institute of Australia's primary program for emerging designers. This exhibition will run from Tuesday 11th Friday 28th June.

09.01.2022 Entries for the VIC/TAS Graduate of the Year Award’s (GOTYA’s) 2013 are now on display at the DIA Design Gallery! Come and peruse the brilliant work of Victoria and Tasmania’s top design graduates which will be on display from Monday 16th June Friday 4th July 2014.

07.01.2022 Now showing at the DIA Design Gallery from Monday 13th May Friday 31st May. This exhibition is a select group of works that includes handrawn 2D illustration, digital prints through to 3D objects and animation. Produced by Bachelor of Illustration students, the course is located at the attractive NMIT Fairfield campus. This collection showcases the quality, diversity and innovative approach to the 'visual language' that is illustration in the 21st century!

03.01.2022 Makette celebrates the side projects of eight designers working across diverse disciplines: architecture, set design, graphic design, textile design and illustration. As creative people, they are linked by their desire to find other ways of expressing and testing their ideas through the pursuit of ‘side projects’. Makette will be on display at the DIA Design Gallery until 31st July.
