23.01.2022 Try adding a couple tablespoons apple cider vinegar to your daily routine. Not only does it directly benefit diabetes health, it also boost digestion and encourages healthy gut bacteria. Dilute it in water before drinking.

22.01.2022 How much water are you drinking? Aim for 1.5 litres a day, or about 8 glasses. If you don't like plain water, add a squeeze of fresh lemon or lime.... Another idea is to boil up a fruity herbal tea blend and refrigerate it - makes a great refreshing drink while you still get your quota of (almost) water!

22.01.2022 You've probably heard of the terms 'insulin' and 'insulin resistance' but you may not know what role insulin really plays and why this is so important. As you can see in the image, insulin acts as a key to unlock cells in the muscles and liver so that glucose can enter, removing it from the bloodstream so glucose levels become lower. If we become insulin resistant, insulin has difficulties unlocking the cells, so the glucose can't enter the cells, which means glucose levels... remain higher. This can promotes more insulin to be released, but it doesn't help, it only makes the cells become more resistant. You can lower blood sugar and insulin by eating a carb-controlled diet. Regular exercise helps improve insulin sensitivity so the insulin key works better.

Cut out as much processed and packaged food as you possibly can and head to the fresh food sections of the grocery store. In the fresh food section you’ll find foods that are ‘nutrient dense,’ which means foods that contain more vitamins, minerals and nutrients that can help optimise your health.... Nutrient dense real foods include foods such as dairy products, seafood and fish, meat, eggs, nuts and seeds, fruits and vegetables.
