24.01.2022 DERBY CLOSURE | COVID-19 Following the Premier’s press conference this morning, Council has made the decision to CLOSE the Blue Derby Mountain Bike Trails (incl...uding the Blue Tier) and the Derby camp grounds. This decision has been made in the knowledge that Derby is still attracting large visitation and clearly this is not an acceptable situation in the context of the Federal and State Governments decisions to restrict gatherings of people both indoors and outdoors. We look forward to welcoming you back to the trails once it is acceptable to do so. See more

23.01.2022 Well it looks like that’s the end of the season for us for now as the council has taken the decision to close the trails. Rob and I wish everyone in the biking community and the fantastic Derby community all the best wishes and good health as we all negotiate the virus crisis. We certainly look forward to seeing you all filling the streets of Derby again soon and enjoying the amazing trails!! Take care and stay well

22.01.2022 Hello everyone! The Hub is open Wednesday to Sunday 1200pm to 8pm serving takeaway pizzas, garlic breads and drinks! You can even sit on our verandah, or in the beer garden to consume your meals, but please remember to remain 1.5m away from each other! Nope. Still not delivering!

06.01.2022 We were recently lucky enough to spend some time walking through the magnificent forests near Derby. Sadly we also saw lots of clear felling of old growth forests as we drove around. Threatened and endangered species in the area (North East Forests) include Tasmanian devils, wedge-tailed eagles, spotted quoll, grey goshawk, masked owls and giant freshwater crayfish.
