21.01.2022 Let’s talk recovery! SLEEP This is probably the most important tool in in your recovery belt. After we train, our ... muscles need a chance to rebuild and repair, but this only happens with enough rest. It’s not just volume of sleep, it’s sleep quality as well. Set a bed time and a wake up time that you can stick to. Make sure your room is as dark as possible, and try to limit phone use before bed. NUTRITION Following one of Coach Kel’s high intensity CrossFit classes, our bodies are left glycogen depleted and inflamed from the stress of training. We need to feed ourselves adequate amounts of carbs, lean proteins and essential fatty acids to help our bodies repair and rebuild. The most important is post WOD - real food is best however, a shake is sometimes more convenient. Just make sure it has plenty of carbs and protein! HYDRATION Being in Townsville, we sweat A LOT! So re-hydrating is super important! Aim for 2.5L/2L a day for male/female + 1L per hour of training. This is important to optimise recovery & performance. We also lose electrolytes as we sweat (sodium, magnesium, potassium etc) so it’s important that we replenish these, either via real foods or electrolyte supplements. It’s important that we prioritise recovery, as without it, we couldn’t continue to do what we love! For some really great tips and qualified advice check out @the_sportsdietitian

16.01.2022 Our 60min Fundamental session provides you with the basic tools and elements to enter a Dialogue class. There's no crazy workout, just a relaxed, happy atmosphere learning movements and standards with one of our coaches. Oh and yes, you get a FREE Crossfit session after you do the Fundamentals session. 15.01.2022 This guy. Petr walked into the gym off the street and said in these exact words "Hello, I would like to do Crossfit". We replied with " Awesome have you done CrossFit before?" Petr - "Nope" Actually has never trained in any way everrrr and here he was ready to start something new. He trialed class that afternoon and booked him in for Fundamentals for the next day. Petr then joined up and the rest is history. He has worked on & improved his overall fitness, mobility, mechanics, strength and gained new social connections. Fitness is now a part of his life and we are grateful to be a part of this. Sadly he is off to Bris Vegas and we wish him all the best. On his list when he arrives is to find a new Crossfit home and to continue being the fully sick evolving legend that he is.

What a fabulous day it has been Many, many thanks to our incredible team at Dialogue for arranging and running our first in-house comp, which was a-maze-za-zing! Lots of thanks and love to all of the members (and fam!) that showed up to compete, judge and watch on this warm summer day, and a massive congratulations to all athletes for the amazing results and potential fears conquered for their first comp ... We are so proud!!!
