25.01.2022 Looking forward to your beauty treatments resuming soon? I've been missing you all. It looks like approx another month before the salon will be able to reopen at this stage based on government guidelines. There is no know date yet but I will share this with you as soon as I have one. Upon reopening there will be hygiene measures in place to ensure your safety as well as mine. Hand sanitizer inside the front entrance, disposable gloves (for when practical) and I will also use a face mask for close contact treatments. Appointments will be spaced sufficiently to allow time for cleaning in between each client. Looking forward to seeing you soon!

25.01.2022 The salon will be open this Friday and Saturday from 9am to 1pm for the purchase of gift vouchers and packs for Mothers Day. 13.01.2022 Who's missing their monthly waxing? I have put together some tips to get you through this difficult time. The aim is just to 'tidy' as opposed to reshape (I will do this for you on your return to the salon). 1) Look a your brows and determine the area to be tweezed just the 'strays' underneath and in between your eye brows (see pic). Leave the tops for me as this can alter the shape. 2) Support the skin of the area you are tweezing by holding the skin down with your index fi...nger and thumb. Use clean tweezers and remove the hair in the direction of hair growth. Tweezing dos and don'ts: * Don't trim the ends of your brows (leave this for me too). Infact take great care with the ends as this is the area that naturally becomes more sparce over time with ageing, sleeping on your side etc. * Don't tweeze against the growth or hair breakage can result. * Do tweeze after a warm shower as this opens the pores and allows for easier hair removal. * Don't use a magnifying mirror as this can result in over tweezing which is very difficult to reverse even years down the track! * Do use natural light and tweeze one hair at a time. * Don't tweeze too much between your brows. This can be disastrous and create the impression of 'wide set' eye brows. * Do replace your tweezers (angled tweezers are best) when they get dull.

Reserve some and have for breakfast the next day! Banana Face Mask If you like bananas and are looking for a skin boosting face mask, try this... Mix into a paste:... 1 tablespoon porridge oats (ground) 1 tablespoon yoghurt / Water 1/4 banana Wash your face and apply the mask mixture to dry skin. Leave it on for 15 mins.
