21.01.2022 As many of you guys and girls would see, sometimes we have to wash in the direct sun here at the Bowden's Own galactic HQ. Yesterday I was making a quick little... instagram video of Snow Jobbing in the sun while detailing Reeana who works here's little black beauty (Yes I detail the teams cars, except Brett's). I had Casey come out to ask me a packing question and I gave her (more like threw upon her) the iPhone to film an unscripted, impromptu video on washing a real dirty black car in the hot Qld summer sun! It's not in great detail like we do on some other more "polished" video's, but the key points of it are: Work fast, have everything you will use out and ready to go. Apply Snow Job to the part of the car in the shade first and the hottest section in the sun last. Don't leave the Snow Job foam on as long as you normally would, after 3 minutes rinse off the foam thats in the sun first and the shaded bits last. Use Auto Body Gel for your 2 bucket wash, as if it dries or streaks it will wash straight off and not leave water marks. It's our very best wash for this job. Wash the part in the shade first and rinse with fresh clean water as you go. Wash the section in the sun last. Rinse and keep the car wet as you go, its very important to NEVER let water dry on the car. Use After Glow for drying, doing the hottest sections in the direct sun first. You can use the Big Green Sucker drying towel as well if you wish too, with Boss Gloss as the drying aid and drying the sections in the sun first. I've quickly edited/ sped this video up in parts to cut out the flab, but I hope it helps a few people out who have no choice but to wash in the sun like we do at times.
