19.01.2022 XMAS MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT 2020 has been a tough year for not only our sport, but all community sports around Victoria. Having been locked down for a large part of the year has presented many challenges. Having played only 7 junior games for the year, has been tough for many and keeping that connection throughout that time has seen many of our clubs forced to think outside the box. From Zoom training, to Zoom treasure hunts and even an online escape room, we have had... to be creative. I just wanted to take this time, on behalf of the DCFNA Board of Management, to wish all of our players, umpires, committees and parents a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful and safe New Year. As an aside, I hope to provide an update re next years competition, early next year as we continue to finalise negotiating venues for our 2021 junior competition Mark Goldspink DCFNA President
16.01.2022 WE ARE BACK!!! T-Minus 25 Minutes until the first centre pass! Can’t wait to see everybody back here today enjoying netball!!
14.01.2022 Congratulations to our Head Coach Kellie Goldspink for being named as a finalist in NV Community Awards in the Coaching Excellence category. The Association is very proud of all you do for the Association and our athletes.
14.01.2022 Yesterday saw our final game of netball for 2020. Who would have thought that after the first three weeks of netball at the start of the year that it would take another 9 months before we could play another. We want to thank the clubs for their support during the 4 week competition and to the parents for your patience and understanding in following the COVID plan.... Thank you to the entire Board of Management for being there each Saturday to allow the kids to get back on the netball court. A big thank you to our umpires. We all know that there could be no game without you. Special mention to Tash, Alex, Kelly and Becky for receiving their C Grade badges over the last two weeks. To our players. It was great to see so many smiling faces and hear the familiar sounds of netball being played at Diamond Creek Force Headquarters. A big thank you to Kellie & Emma, 2 of our Force Rep Coaches for volunteering to coach our 2 ‘Force’ 9&U teams which allowed 18 players from all clubs the opportunity to play this 4 week season. We hope to see you next year in what will hopefully be a bit more normal
14.01.2022 Another fantastic day had by our netball community and another email from one of our clubs. We love doing what we do, just to see all the smiling faces on all of our players ----------------------- Dear Mark,... On behalf of our club, we just wanted to thank you and the committee for all you are doing to get the kids back on the court. In what has been a crazy year, thank you for making this COVID season so easy to navigate. After the first 2 weeks of competition, we have heard nothing but positive comments from our parents and ensured all of our players and coaches have had a great experience. Again thank you very much from a grateful club. ----------------------------

04.01.2022 With the backdrop of our nearly completed building, we start week 2 of our COVID season. Great to see the smiles and hear the laughter of the kids back playing a game they love. #forcefamily #WeNotMe #netballvic
04.01.2022 Umpires are an integral part of any sport and a lot of times are on the end of behaviour that should not happen. We always should remember to be thankful to our umpires (and supervisors) as without them what would the game be. It is always nice to received this type of email... --------------------------------- Hi Darren, I received a phone call from our Coach of the ****** and she just wanted to say that the umpires and umpire supervisor (with ;bright orange shoes lol) were absolutely lovely to the new players today. We had a team largely of girls who only decided Thursday they were going to play and of course there were tears. Your supervisor especially according to our coach was absolutely brilliant, she worked with the player and the coach and turned something scary into something fun for our player. 9/u can make or break some kids if they cry a lot from game 1 sometimes it writes them off but compassion won out. Please thank your umpires for making *** game a lot of fun, exactly what it's all about.
02.01.2022 Our last NETFIT Reonnection Clinic is well underway. Again thanks to Diamond Creek Community Branches for the grant to enable us to run these clinics to our community free of charge. Also a big thank you to Netfit Netball for your efforts this morning. I am sure everyone had a great time.... #ForceFamily See more
