24.01.2022 We were thrilled to see Run Director Gary receive an award from Kate Thwaites MP at the Jagajaga Community Volunteer Awards 2020 on the weekend. Gary was presented with the award for his 30+ years of volunteer service and contribution to many different organisations over the years, including Diamond Creek parkrun. We are a better group thanks to the wisdom, kindness, commitment and good humour Gary gives to DCp. We'd like to say a massive THANK YOU to Gary.
23.01.2022 Lest we forget. #anzacday #standto #lightupthedawn
21.01.2022 Some Easter memories from DCp. We wish everyone a safe, happy, healthy and chocolatey Easter

18.01.2022 What did you get up to this morning? Tell us in emojis and see if we can guess
18.01.2022 It was great to see lots of people start their weekend at parkrun this morning. Well done to the 344 finishers and welcome to the 15 first timers. Congrats to the 60 people who recorded a PB time. Our volunteers did a great job covering the normal roles and the additional pacing roles. Thanks today go to Gary, Cashel, Kendall, Chris, Jack, Stephen, Bruce, Debbie, Stella, Anthony, Kylee, Steve, Daryl, Tracey, Sandra, James, Peter, Kellie, Dean, Elishia, Jaclyn, Gerard, Jackie, James, Gerry, Fiona, Lilly, Stef, Bridget, Lauren, Anna, Adem, Arion and Run Director, Anthony. Enjoy the rest of this beautiful sunny weekend
17.01.2022 Each week, a team of volunteers come together to make parkrun happen. Some people take on any role, some have a favourite, and some have roles they'd prefer not to do! What's your favourite volunteer role and why?
16.01.2022 As well as missing you guys, we're missing our regular weekly photos. So we thought, let's have some! We'd love you to show us what you are doing to look after your PHYSICAL health during lockdown. The photos can be creative, simple, fancy... you can be in it, or not... it's up to you! We'll collate the photos and post them on Sunday (changed due to Anzac Day). **We need the photos by 10am Sunday** Please email them, send them via message to our FB page or post them below. 16.01.2022 Many plans and goals have had to change or be put on hold at the moment, and it's understandable to be feeling frustrated and disappointed. Late last year, Jaryd Clifford broke the world record and won gold in the 1500m and 5000m events at the 2019 World Para Athletics Championships. He then set his sights on the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games in July that have been postponed until next year. As many parkrunners may be struggling with disappointment and motivation at the moment, we asked Jaryd how he's feeling and what he’s doing to stay motivated. Did you know. Jaryd and his guide Tim Logan (DCp’s course record holder) ran the fastest guided 5km (5000m) in history with a time of 14:05
15.01.2022 As love is in the air today, tell us..... what do you love about parkrun?
14.01.2022 Another Saturday without parkrun - we are missing you all! We hope you are staying active like the DCp team... Cash has been doing online pilates and running, Kellie has been rediscovering hills running, David has been putting his feet up after his runs, Craig has been out running with Trevor, Anthony has been running with Michelle before having a coffee, Ben has been riding, Tarq has been lifting weights and doing burpees, and Nikki has been doing online fitness sessions. What have you been up to?
14.01.2022 **AN IMPORTANT PARKING REMINDER** We share the Marngrook Area Precinct with Diamond Creek Community Centre and Diamond Creek Force Netball Association. Please make sure you park in the areas marked YELLOW and leave the areas in RED for the YMCA and Netball Clubs. We have great relationships with these other organisations and want to keep it that way. Your help is needed and much appreciated. Thank you
13.01.2022 As part of National Volunteer Week 2020, we'd like to give lots of waving smiles of appreciation to the many amazing volunteers at Diamond Creek parkrun - the event team, everyone who has volunteered, and everyone who will volunteer when we start up again. DCp is a massive team effort and we appreciate you all #NVW2020 #waveforvolunteers Volunteering Australia

We'd like to say a MASSIVE thank you to Nillumbik Council who provided the signs, and for their work in implementing the path upgrade thanks to the Pick My Project funding. 03.01.2022 We wish we were posting photos from our 2020 Footy Grand Final Day parkrun today. Instead, here's the volunteer photos from the past 6 years of footy days at DCp. Hope your team wins this weekend
03.01.2022 We'd normally be posting photos of today's parkrun, but as we are taking a break in the interests of public health, we thought we'd post a flashback to Event #1. Diamond Creek parkrun launched on Sat 9 Nov 2013. We were super excited to have 47 participants who were supported by 6 amazing volunteers. Afterwards, we crossed our fingers and hope people would come back the following week! Were you at event #1? When was your first parkrun?
03.01.2022 parkruns all around the world are celebrating International Women’s Day this Sat 7 March, and we'd love you to bring along a female friend, colleague or family member and walk, jog, run or volunteer together. Tell us.... who would you like to parkrun with???

Today was made possible by these wonderful volunteers: David, Ben, Gie, Liz, Luca, Steve, James, Andrew, Col, Mish and Run Director Renae Please consider volunteering. Smiles, friendly faces and laughs are guaranteed!
01.01.2022 We have lots of amazing trails in the area but there are also some beautiful less known tracks and back roads that are great for walking and running. Have you discovered a new track, trail or back road over the past few months?
