21.01.2022 On our way to Grenoble we had one of many boulangerie stops. The bread and pastries in France are the best. The coffee I will wait till I get to Italy. The scenery on this ride was spectacular, but I could say that every day!

16.01.2022 From Grenoble we headed to the ski resort of Chamrousse, our first climb of the day. And at around 25kms it was a great warm up for Alpe d'Huez that followed. I thought bikes were the theme for the Alp but it seems it was cows

05.01.2022 The Haute Alpes have a long history with le Tour and Chambery was happy to share it. It even conveniently rained only when we were in the restaurant. Collectively there have been 76 starts or finishes in the high alps. 34 climbs of the Izoard, 33 starts from Briancon and at 2645 mtrs the Galibier has been the highest mountain top finish in the history of the tour. Our Alps Nice tour checks all this out!
