22.01.2022 While Western Australia remains free of community transmission, we are doing everything possible to ensure our State is prepared, in case COVID-19 returns in ou...r community. So, beginning today, certain businesses and venues will be required to keep a COVID-19 contact register to assist in contact tracing of an outbreak occurred. Our Government has released a free app, SafeWA, to make the process as quick and easy as possible, and paper registers will also be available. Businesses or venues required to keep a contact register include: - food and licenced venues (restaurants, cafés, bars, pubs, taverns, nightclubs); - gyms, indoor sporting centres and pools; - places of worship and funeral parlours; - beauty and personal care services including hairdressers and barbers; - galleries and museums; - cinemas, theatres and other entertainment venues; - auction houses and real estate inspections; - community facilities, libraries and halls; - zoos and amusement parks; - function centres; and - accommodation facilities that already have check-in arrangements in place (i.e. hostels, hotels, large campgrounds). Records will ONLY be used for the purpose of COVID-19 contact tracing, should it be required, and will only be kept for 28 days and not used for any other purpose. 21.01.2022 We would like to dedicate this post to Verrell and Ros Herbert. This past weekend they were involved in a tragic car accident on their way home from a day out. Sadly Verrell passed away and Ros is in hospital with serious injuries. For those of our guests who may not have had the opportunity to meet them they have been an integral part of our team here at Diamond Forest Farm Stay for the past five years. With their dedication and hard work they played a major role in our ability to provide the high standard of accommodation that we have become known for and that our guests have enjoyed. They were kind, loyal and dedicated. Most importantly they are our friends. Our prayers and thoughts are with Ros and her family during this difficult time. Verrell, an active member in our community, will be sorely missed by many people.
