23.01.2022 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT On Friday evening, the AWFA Executive and Members Committee decided to cancel all football activities for the 2020 season. This decision ...was not made lightly. A robust discussion took place and many scenarios considered. It is unfortunate that we cannot train or play our game this year however in essence it may be the best decision under the current circumstances. Discussions are already underway about possible summer competitions at all age groups. We will endeavour to explore all possible avenues and get back to football under the safest possible conditions. What this means; No more training or games Our registrar will deregister all players from the club, you will need to action the email you receive from PlayFootball Quite a numbers of members have kindly offered to give the club their refunds. We are truly humbled by this and all moneys will go towards replacing our operating losses for 2020 and purchasing equipment for the season 2021 and beyond. Information regarding part or full financial remimbursement will follow. We are still waiting on communication with Football Victoria regarding registration funds. As soon as I receive information and the WDFC finalise the reimbursement process I will be in touch again. Please understand this may be a very lengthy process so your patience is appreciated. On behalf of the Wodonga Diamonds Football Club Commitee, team coaches and managers, I would like to thank everyone for their commitment in these very trying times. 23.01.2022 Hi Everyone, The committee is working hard to overcome covid obstacles to get all the Miniroos back on the park. We still have a stack more information to come so please be patient. We can confirm that training for the Miniroos will commence next week. Due to Covid restrictions we have to space out training spaces and times. As a result Miniroo training will be on Fridays at least until the next stage of permissions.

22.01.2022 We are pleased to announce our Summer 5-a-Side competition for Junior Girls starting on the 1st November 2020 at LaTrobe. Age groups are U12G, U15G and U18G. Re...gister a team or individually via the website in the below banner. With the lack of Football on offer in 2020, we are encouraging as many girls as possible, new or experienced to register and come and play football this summer. Any enquiries, please let us know.

22.01.2022 IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR TRAINING: Mini roos training will commence week starting 22nd June 2020. Restrictions are easing, however due to the large number of miniroos players we have had to change our training night's for some of our age groups. This will hopefully allow for a more structured and open training session for your child. Coaches will remain the same but training groups will be smaller and will have no more than 20 children in a group.... Training will be held at La Trobe on the following scheduled nights: Tuesday - U10/11 - 5pm to 6pm Thursday - U9 - 5pm to 6pm Friday - U5/U6/U7/U8 - 5pm to 6pm All players need to be registered before commencing training. If your child is not yet registered but wants to play please register your child. We ask that if your child is unwell with flu-like symptoms (cough, runny nose, temp) that your child does not attend training until all symptoms have dissipated. Please ensure your child comes to training with their own drink bottle and hand sanitiser. Toilets will be open for players. I understand that these last few months have been extremely challenging for parents and kids but hopefully with restrictions easing and life getting back to some sort of normality we can still have a great season of soccer. 20.01.2022 Morning everyone , Just to reiterate the previous post regarding the resumption of miniroos. In the past WDFC has been lax with registrations. Due to traceability around the pandemic can you please ensure that your child is registered before attending. Coaches will receive a team list and have to record attendance. We are expecting further advice from FFV on Monday so please stay tuned. At this stage the basis will be train in groups of 20 on the night. No mixing with other ...groups that night. 18.01.2022 BRIGHT RED TERM 4 REGISTRATIONS CLOSE 5TH OCTOBER Term 4 will commence on Monday 12th October and will run for 9 weeks (Monday and Wednesday) on Latrobe Field ...2 in Wodonga commencing at 5pm. Any Victorian paid registered player from Term 3 will receive an automatic credit for Term 4 due to the inability to proceed in Term 3 in Victoria. Please ensure you tick the correct option on the registration form. Bright Red players will also have the opportunity for players to trial for our 2021 Under 12 squad. Further information regarding this will be sent out in the coming months. There will also be invitations for Bright Red Players to participate in tournaments in early 2021 and the opportunity to be invited to be involved in Melbourne Victory’s pre-academy program. 14.01.2022 As most of you are now aware, the Albury Wodonga Football Association has cancelled the season. We are going to continue to promote football at a club level with the hope that we can establish more of a competition later in the year. Please contact your age group coach to ensure that they are onboard with this. If you are not comfortable and/or would like to claim full refund now is the time. 10.01.2022 Training for u10/11 tonight is on from 5-6 on ground 1. No contact principle will be observed tonight. Please enter via the driveway and straight on to the ground. Get your name marked off with the coach. No parents are allowed on the facility. Each child should bring their water bottle and hand sanitizer. A portable toilet will be available for the kids parked on University Drive.

09.01.2022 UPDATE: Mini Roos Training for U5/U6/U7/U8 Hi Everyone, this week has seen the return to Miniroos Training! It Has been great to see the kids back on the field. Just a few things for tomorrow night:... Training commences at 5pm and finishes at 6pm. Players and parents can enter via any entry tomorrow. Parents are permitted in the facility but please keep to only 10 in a group; remembering social distancing regulations. All age groups will be training on the main pitch and ground 3. This is clear on the map below and is where you will find your coach. U5 are training at 1.1 U6 are training at 1.2 U7 are training at 1.3 U8 are training at 3.1 and 3.2 Parents please remember to ensure that your child brings their own drink bottle and hand sanitiser. Coaches please ensure that each players belongings are separated and not put together in a group. Toilets will be open tomorrow!
