22.01.2022 The Studio: then and now (Look at all the pics!) . Today I was sorting out old photos on my phone and came across some photos I'd forgotten about! The first two photos is the original space of where my studio is now. When hubby and I originally bought the house some 18 years ago, we could never quite work out the purpose of this room. For a while it was a toy room, then it was a bit of a gaming room but it was always the odd room in the house. It wasn't until I started my ph...otography journey and then my business, that the room started to fulfil its' purpose! My hubby built a timber beam to support my backdrops and then we worked out we could extend the curtain rail in to this to hang my collection of maternity dresses.. Initially we laid a light browny colour floorboard but it never felt quite right. So eventually this was changed to a white floorboard. We changed the blinds/ curtains. I can't tell you how many little bits and pieces have changed in here over time, but I'm sure things will always keep improving! I just love my studio. In all honest truth, I just loooooooove kids and babies, big and small and it was such a blast meeting this little cutie patootie today especially cause I used to work with his Mama.. so many expressions all in one sitting, so hard to narrow down his photos! www.diamondsintheskyphotography.com/sitter
15.01.2022 A digital composite is something that I offer as part of a newborn photoshoot. A digital composite is the combination of an image that we take during your photoshoot and then combine it with a digital background to create the finished result! Most times, you wouldn't even know that the finished image wasn't something that we created post production. I've written a blog explaining the process a little with some more info. 01.01.2022 Victorian friends, how are you doing? It’s tough going into another lockdown. Sure, it’s only five days (we hope!) but I know many people are feeling overwhelmed. I really feel for all the people and businesses that are affected and really struggling.. Instead of chalking up a big to do list, this time I’m going to take a bit of time out and enjoy this quiet reprieve from daily life.... I started off lockdown this morning with a lovely online yoga class from my regular yoga studio, Laya Yoga and as my teacher wisely said let it come, let it stay, let it go. So these next few days, sure I’ll get some things done but I’m also going to give myself space to let shit go.. What’s your plan for the next 5 days? Big hugs, Joanne
