25.01.2022 All around DVR! Today we look at 10 and 11 Posts. 10 and 11 Posts are the locations on the approach to Diamond Valley Station that feature Semaphore Signalling and a number of cross over tracks. This important junction is used often at DVR with trains being crossed over so they can enter platform 1 or for special trains to bypass the platforms roads by being signaled onto the express road through Diamond Valley Station. Thank you to everyone who has viewed this series over... the past few weeks showing off various locations around DVR. Stay tuned for more exciting features here on the DVR Facebook page. See more

24.01.2022 All around DVR! Today we look at the Chelsworth Park Bridge. The bridge carries the Inner Circle line across a small gap in the embankment that the line travels along as it approaches Meadmore. The bridge was originally located at the Chelsworth Park Railroad in Ivanhoe which became the Diamond Valley Railway when it moved to Eltham Lower Park.

01.01.2022 All around DVR! Today we look at the Sanctuary Sidings. These sidings are located near Nillumbik and feature a 12 road storage shed for carriages as well as two other sidings for storing trains during running times.

01.01.2022 All around DVR! Today we look at the Tank Sidings. These sidings are located alongside the Pert Workshop and are accessed from the East Yards. There are two sidings that can have normal length trains stabled in them as well as a shorter siding used to stable locomotives or short trains in. There is also an access track so carriages can be moved to the rear room of the Pert Workshop Annex.... The sidings get their name from the large water tanks that are nearby. See more

01.01.2022 All around DVR! Today we look at the Wilcox Bridge. This small bridge takes the Up Through Line across a small channel. It is located just after Nillumbik. The bridge was originally just wide enough for one track however it was extended after Sanctuary Sidings were built so the headshunt for those sidings could extend over it. The bridge is named after DVR Life member Jim Wilcox.
