10.01.2022 We know there are a lot of people who have been patiently waiting for the Diamond Head Loop Walk to be reopened after the damage caused by the devastating bushf...ires. Well we have some good news, the Diamond Head Loop Walk is now open, just in time for the school holidays! Thanks to the efforts of the team at our local National Parks office the track is now safe again and ready to be explored. This includes the Headland Walk Track, the Forest Walk Track and Metcalfes Walk into the location of the ruins of Kylie's Hut. In order to keep everyone safe, there will be barricades around the ruins of the hut so we ask that all visitors stay out of this fenced off area or penalties may apply. So be sure to come down to Crowdy Bay National Park to enjoy our very popular Headland Walk and check out the abundance of wildflowers currently in bloom. You can pop into the Diamond Head office for a brochure on these wildflowers or a map of the headland to show all the gorgeous scenery you might see on the walk. Indian Head Campground will also be opening this week on Thursday the 24th of September. Like all other NPWS campgrounds in NSW this campground will require a booking made prior to arrival. If you are looking for somewhere to camp for the school holidays and long weekend you will need to book quickly as it is filling up fast! Bookings can be made via the website below or by calling the reservations team on 13000 72757. Please note that if you are camping at Indian Head Campground you can no longer have a fire on the ground. All campfires must be contained in fire pits off the ground in order to prevent damage to the grass.
