Why not gradually start adding one healthy salad each week and see how you feel?... . Pre-cooking vegetables ahead, can save you cooking time and less stress after a hard days work. By pre-roasting assorted vegetables of eggplant pumpkin capsicum zucchini, sweet potato, mixed with garlic, onion, coconut oil, oregano can add delicious flavours and nutrients to any meal. After cooking, add to a container, seal and refrigerate. . I like to add to pre-cooked quinoa, top with the assorted vegetables, cooked chickpeas, feta cheese, sliced cherry tomatoes basil leaves and rocket. . My name is Diana, and I'm a Registered Clinical Nutritionist, the founder of Diana Miranda Nutrition. I'm happily married to John, a mother of two beautiful girls, along with our loving cat, Mr Bailey. After managing my hairdressing business for 28 years, it had affected me both mentally, emotionally, and physically, I was feeling stressed, aching, tired, and my love for hair had dwindled. I realized from the lovely chat sessions, my clients looked pretty as a picture on the outside, but not on the inside. I knew in my heart, they needed support with emotions, diet, and lifestyle. My Nutritional Medicine journey then began! After three years of studying nutritional medicine, I now work in person and online from my home-based clinic in Tatura, Victoria. I love eating and cooking the Mediterranean way, and are passionate about teaching my clients, how they can use 'food as medicine' to transform their health. My main interests are in digestive health, children's health, and creating customized meal plans. I enjoy travelling when we are allowed to (thanks COVID), to the beach, bush walks in nature, crocheting, bike riding, walking, and running when I get the urge! Each morning for 1 hour, I choose to either walk, run or bike ride to keep fit and gain some fresh air. . I enjoy sitting outside for 15 minutes each day, while eating my breakfast, lunch, or cuddling my cat . Eating from a range of whole foods that consists of good quality protein, wholesome carbohydrates, essential fats, and variety of coloured vegetables, 5 serves per day; (roughly 1/2 cup per serve) along with 2 pieces of fruit a day. This ensures that I obtain the vital nutrients to nourish and support my body I love to make cold pressed juice! . I have food sensitivities to alcohol, wheat, gluten, sugar and dairy, so avoid them where possible . Processed foods are avoided as much as possible and only eaten in small amounts. . Keeping my body hydrated with drinking 1.5 to 2 litres of filtered water daily, including cups of pure herbal teas, to relax my body . I avoid technology prior to bedtime, turn off my phone and aim to be in bed by 10pm to obtain at least 8 hours of sleep. (Sometimes I get caught behind the laptop, which then affects my circadian rythym, sleep wake cycle) . Just by adding one of these examples to your daily regimen, will help you improve your health! .
