25.01.2022 This is from an article, but often I try and explain about flowers coming into Australia and I do try and only buy From our growers but sadly in our business we are driven by the consumer demand for out of season flowers and few growers is all we have available. . What it doesn’t say is that Australia has strict chemical laws, they (as overseas growers) do not - so do not lick your fingers after playing with the flowers if unknown of their origin ! Safety first. Almost h...alf of the flowers sold in Australia are brought in from Kenya, Ecuador, Colombia, Vietnam, Malaysia and China. According to Flowers Victoria chairman Michael van der Zwet, Australia imports $75 million worth of flowers each year. He said imports had "squashed a lot of local growers in Australia", forcing many to leave the industry. Check out ABC on this story

19.01.2022 Friday 14th February is Valentines Day. You don’t have to always have just Red Rose’s. This arrangement for an idea is using LA Lillie’s, Pineapple Lillie’s, Celosia, Snap dragons, Gyp, Rose’s, Veronica Alstroemerias, Carnations, Leather fern and Box foliage. If you wish flowers for Next Friday, please call before the 14th so you don’t miss out on the flowers you would love. Your man would love a posy of flowers even if he forgets this day.

17.01.2022 Looking for a different gift idea. A living gift I have a few little fern terrarium for sale. I recently took an old fish bowl and made one for my sunny warm spot in the house. Just requires a mist spray for moisture occasionally. Do not over water. Great for those who are on the run.

13.01.2022 I wish to thank some very special friends and family members during the Mother’s Day flower orders that have made there way into the homes of much loved mothers by their children or special friends. My budding florist & ( fig, pumpkin, & Mandarine picker, ) Robbie over the last few weeks now, and with Donny doing repairs to keep the orchard and flower shop running. To Ian and Lyn who headed out into the south with flowers. AND The 4 who are always having to pick up, drop ...off, and feed me well, as they cook better then I Dad, Mum, Emily May, and Grasshopper. 03.01.2022 As we all navigate our way through this covid 19. I have flowers but the choice is limited as they are sourced locally at this time of year. I have be doing this for awhile and supporting local growers. As this stage 3 is here for a few weeks and you may have an occasion that requires speciality flowers, please be mindful I will need a few days to organise. It’s been wonderful to supply flowers to a lovely lady in a nursing home Echuca who did arrangements in her younger years. Her beautiful daughter can’t visit - and her gift to mum each week is flowers for her to arrange for the nursing home. This makes a big difference to these two people. I’m sure each of us can make someone’s love one’s day brighter. In this case a mother and daughter.
