25.01.2022 Flowers are always about people. This was a sympathy arrangement and the favourite colour of the gentleman that had passed away was red. Don’t forget to check out my Instagram page as there are many different photos on there @dianasimonflorist #floralfoamfree #sympathy #gympieflorist #localflowers #dianasimonflorist

24.01.2022 I enjoy my job, there’s beautiful flowers, creating arrangements and then there’s my customers . In the last week I met this young couple on a unexpected sad journey, I was happy to help them after hours on their first visit. This is what they requested for a tribute for their friend, the love, passion and devotion was truly heartwarming as you can tell with their choice of flowers. #Ruok #truefriends #gympiefunerals

24.01.2022 Hope you had a lovely day, in Queensland it was. To those of you who are elsewhere and maybe coping with Covid-19 restrictions we are thinking of you. #staypositive #lovelydays #covid19 #dianasimonflorist #winterdays

23.01.2022 Something for everyone this weekend with Queensland grown roses

22.01.2022 This year is going to be different for ANZAC day on Saturday. But just because we are not doing it together we can still remember our heroes at the end of your driveway at 6am along with a wreath, so I’ve been making some for this or they can be taken to your local Cenotaph. #gympieflorist #covidanzacwreaths #nofloralfoam

19.01.2022 When making my flower order, I try and choose a selection not knowing what I’m going to make for what reason. So this beauty was created during the week, you look at the flowers you’ve ordered and I didn’t imagine this would evolve #blushingbride #orchids #stocks #dianasimonflorist #gympiedelivery #gympie #maryvalleyflorist

18.01.2022 What a day! Two weddings and a lovely road trip plus surprises. I had dropped off bridal party flowers and turned around to say goodbye and WOW what a view from the appartment. Then on to the venue, my first time at The Barn at Cooribah, what a beautiful and interesting place lovingly created. More to come in the next few days.

18.01.2022 Find out about the lovely Lissianthus, it’s durability even during the summer.

18.01.2022 Simply stunning dress and her bouquet @paddingtonweddings by @naturallyjek.photography @mrs_casie_32

17.01.2022 What do see while your driving around. I drove past this a couple of times before I twigged what they where (keeping my eyes on the road). By the time I got around to stopping to take a photo of this patch of Everlasting pink daisies planted in a lawn area they were past their best, but found this little group.

16.01.2022 A much awaited wedding that had to endure the challenges of Covid 19. Congratulations to Bri & Ben.

16.01.2022 Well it’s good to start the ball rolling with my first wedding. Congratulations to Emily & Josh. Had the privilege of putting this family heirloom onto Emily’s bouquet, it was a prayer book edged with gold and stones and the tradition of been on all the families wedding bouquets. #gympiewedding #10/10/20wedding #whiteweddingbouquet #gympieflorist #boutiqueflorist #firstweddingpostcovidlockdown

16.01.2022 This week’s Corporate with some Rosemary and local Banksia Plagiocarpa. Rosemary is traditionally worn on Anzac Day, it was found growing wild at Gallipoli also it is good for the memory. A big shout out to the receptionist who at the end of the week gives the flowers to one of the staff whom she feels needs a bunch of flowers

11.01.2022 First day of September and first day of Spring is Wattle day, celebrating this wonderful national icon where the green and gold colours of Australia come from.

08.01.2022 Alesha had options for her main flower in her bouquet but she kept coming back to these Disbuds, a single flower chrysanthemum. Congratulations to Alesha & Phillip, hope you had a great day.

08.01.2022 This Mother’s Day we also did some living flowers for the first time. Plus another favourite from the weekend. A big welcome to the new likers as well

08.01.2022 Well I'm sure there a lot of happy couples tonight after today's announcement that weddings can have a 100 guests now. The spring is going to be a busy time; if your thinking of planning your big day or know someone who is please get in touch if you would like a quote. This is a memory from about 5 years ago.

08.01.2022 I didn’t know that Australian flannel flower can be pink as well as white. How extraordinary nature is when the rain does come. I can vouch for that after living out west, when all of a sudden plants appear which were never there before.

06.01.2022 Celebrating a birth of a baby boy including some little blue flowers called Tweedia. #babyboy #gympieflorist #dianasimonflorist

05.01.2022 Sometimes business and personal life do intermingle. I recently had my annual Mammogram (yes annual) to find they have a brand new location in Goldfields Plaza (Gympie), great location & new facility but I thought it lacked a little femininity. This is where the business side kicks in, with the new vogue of dried flowers available I created and gifted this arrangement to go in the waiting area, I tried to capitulate strength & heart, Aussie bravery, love and warmth, strength ...& vulnerability with of course the colour pink. If you’ll wondering why I have annual mammograms it’s because I lost my Mum aged 49 to Breast Cancer so this is for her. The message ladies is wherever you live please have your breasts checked, no referral needed from the age of 40 onwards. There is a PS I’ve just had a letter to say I only need a scan every two years now. #breastcancer #breastawarenessmonth #mcgrathfoundation #mammogram #dryfloralfoamfree See more

05.01.2022 Just unpacking my flower press as I need to press some leaves for a wedding. If anyone would like these flowers for a cake or cards send me a message. #driedpresseflowers #edibleflowers

04.01.2022 November is Peonie season. I put these in a business last week, the report back was excellent they lasted all week with no petals dropping. . #pinkpeonies #corporate #aussiespeonies

04.01.2022 Love the combination of white and tangerine and the mix of flowers in this sympathy sheath. Remembering a dear brother. Check out other sympathy florals on my website www.dianasimondedignerflorist.com.au/sympathy

02.01.2022 Mother’s Day has crept up on us this year. Sunday May 10 is the day to treat your Mum, Grandma/Nanna or that lovely person who looks out for you. It’s going to be a little different this year so you might have to be a little creative in what you do. Some flowers will be a little limited but I am using several local growers. Place your orders now with safe #nocontactdelivery #gympieflorist #mothersdayflowers #localgrowers

02.01.2022 Some more pictures from last weekend’s wedding at Gunabul Homestead. Who needs flowers! with the bridesmaids & groomsmen only having foliage and they looked great. #greenerybouquets #greenerybuttonholes #nativegreenery #greenerytexture #dianasimonflorist #gympieflorist #gunabulwedding #gympiewedding

01.01.2022 Firstly I hope all Mums had a lovely day. What a roller coaster ride it’s been from problems with flower availability (or not), being featured in the Gympie Times, having to ignore a lot of phone calls so apologies but it was crazy and not having any flowers left, a purple fingernail that got caught in the car door to having happy customers & Mums. There’s a lovely review as a visitors post too
