15.01.2022 December is a notoriously stressful time of year. Shopping is akin to a military maneuver, parking anywhere near where we want to be is a pipe dream and actually remembering everything that we are supposed to remember is simply not going to happen (for most of us!) Please remember to exercise self care this year and take time for yourselves. There is support available if you find yourself feeling overwhelmed - talk with a friend or family member, seek professional support through your work or educational institution or see your GP for advice. Take care and I hope you are able to enjoy the season

14.01.2022 Self care is different for everyone. I love to read (sometimes for hours and hours at a time!) - this would not be self care for everyone. I know many people who would love to sit and sew or knit as a way to relax - this would be a nightmare for me. Other people might like to go for a run. My point is to find whatever works for you and give time to it regularly to ensure you look after your own needs. Self care is important, it is therefore important to give it the time it deserves.

12.01.2022 Now that the break is over for most of us and we return to work or study, it is a good time to reflect on our lives. Are we happy with the status quo - if not, it might be easier to make changes than we think! Sometimes starting small can work wonders and sometimes taking a major leap can be what we need to do. Whatever you decide, please remember to check in with your friends and family to make sure you stay safe. Most importantly, enjoy!
