25.01.2022 Thanks to Demi & Mikala for supporting me & the Dianella Family Medical Centre on the HBF run for a reason today. The rain threatened at the beginning but held off. We had some interesting characters join us on our walk including storm troopers carrying an umbrella instead of a gun blaster. Sunshine, bananas & Powerade greeted us on the finish line along with a medal for each of us! Maybe well try the 12km walk next year.

25.01.2022 Another sad day, when our last Helen left us. Helen O'Mara has decided to call it quits here @ Dianella after 7 years. Helen will certainly missed in reception by doctors and staff. Not to mention all the old Yokine Medical Centre patients who will constantly ask about her. Take care Helen and don't forget your friends here @ Dianella Family Medical Centre.

23.01.2022 This year's Christmas party found us out at Mega Fast Karts in Wanneroo last Sunday. After quite a few of us getting lost after relying on our GPS, we eventually hit the track and had an amazing time. This type of activity certainly brings out everyone's personality with some of us being speed freaks and then some quite content just pottering along. Congratulations to those who won their races and to those spun out and lost points, maybe we'll need to do it again next year to redeem ourselves. Anyway, management would like to take this opportunity to say Merry Christmas and wish everyone a safe New Year. Thank you for all your hard work and support and we look forward to working with everyone again for another exciting year.

21.01.2022 Dianella Family Medical Centre is pleased to welcome Cliff Mason as our Diabetic Educator. Cliff has over 20 years experience in this field and is eager in setting up an in house diabetes service here at Dianella. Cliffs forte is general practice, newly diagnosed patients and working with the most complex and complicated patients. Please speak with your GP or reception in organising an appointment with Cliff if you require this service.

21.01.2022 Dianella would like to welcome Dr Keat Teo to our after hours service. Keat works Tuesday and Thursday in the evenings alongside Dr Bhajikhara. Appointments are available either online using Health Engine or by ringing the practice.

20.01.2022 Dr Bertel Bulten will be performing in the Perth Symphonic Chorus on Saturday 23rd September @ 7.30pm. If you would like tickets to this performance, please go to the ticketmaster website to order tickets. Pamphlets for this performance can be found in reception here at Dianella.

19.01.2022 The Practice went out to dinner @ Andly's Private Kitchen for an information evening with the specialist Dr Teck Yew from SJOG. Food was amazing and conversations between doctors and staff were flowing freely. Thank you to Dr Moodley for finding this fantastic restaurant in Perth and organising for Teck to come.

18.01.2022 The WA health department haven't been able to give us a date as yet in regards to when the flu vaccines will be available for patients over 65, chronic illness patients and children under 5. Please contact us in the last week of April and hopefully we can give you some dates and times of when Doctors have their flu clinics.

18.01.2022 Dr Minoili Cumaranatunge has been working with us since January and will continue until July 2018. Minoli will be with us under the WAGPET program under the supervision of Dr's Moodley & Bulten. Appointments are available every day either online using Health Engine or by calling the practice.

17.01.2022 Dianella Family Medical Centre have sponsored a 4WD in the Variety bash on their adventure from Dongara to Dirk Hartog Island in the Shark Bay World Heritage area.

17.01.2022 Dianella welcomes Dr Andrew Rumanang to the practice. Andrew will be with us till the middle of July under the WAGPET scheme with Dr Moodley & Dr Bulten as his tutors if required. Andrews appointments can be made either via Health Engine or calling the practice. From comments already received by patients, Andrew is very knowledgeable and approachable.

15.01.2022 Flu clinics have started to be booked starting Friday 5th May. Please speak with our receptionists to make an appointment with your doctor.

14.01.2022 Staff from Dianella Family Medical Centre went on a tour of SJOG Midland to see the facilities of what is offered to our patients in this catchment area. Lovely hospital with lots of friendly staff making us feel welcome. Thanks to Glen for making the time on a Sunday morning to show us around the hospital. From there we went onto Mandoon Estate to celebrate Christmas in July. A beautiful day out with the staff along with great food and wine, I hope? Thanks to everyone for coming, especially Helen who left us last month.

14.01.2022 It was a sad day on Friday when staff, doctors and patients said goodbye to our wonderful phlebotomist Helen. She has done such a fantastic job working with clinipath and making our blood collection a well known place. Taking blood from the impossible was never a hard challenge for her. You will be missed greatly Helen. Take care and don't forget us.

14.01.2022 Ok patients of Dianella Family Medical Centre, the staff are fundraising on Friday 22nd July for National Pyjama Day raising funds for kids in foster care. Staff (and maybe a couple of doctors) will be wearing their pyjamas to work this coming Friday to support this charity. You can help support us by calling in on Friday with wearing your pyjamas or dropping a gold coin donation into reception. Over the next couple of months, staff will continue to fundraise for different charities, so let us know if you have a favourite charity to support. I think the next one is jeans for gene day.

13.01.2022 Thank you to everyone who helped to support the staff for pyjama day. Reception & nurses had fun in dressing in their pyjamas to support this worthy cause. I have to admit, some pyjamas didn't look like pyjamas but we had fun anyway as you can see from the photo.

13.01.2022 Tomorrow, 5th August is genes for jeans day so hopefully all the staff will be wearing some sort of clothing made of denim. I'll be 'double d'ing' as my lovely children remind me every time I wear my denim jacket and jeans, something from the 80's apparently. So if you don't have anything to do tomorrow, drop into the surgery and support this wonderful charity.

12.01.2022 Friday 28th July will find staff @ Dianella supporting National Pyjama Day again this year. So if you see staff walking around in their pjs', it's not because they forgot to change, just that they are supporting this worthy cause. Photo's to follow this wonderful day.

11.01.2022 Flu clinics are well and truly in the swing for the month of May. Please ring the practice to see when your doctor has a flu clinic. We have changed our flu clinics to later in the day to try & relieve our parking problem we have during the flu clinics at the practice. Patience is always appreciated during our flu clinics as we all want the best outcome for everyone

10.01.2022 A new procedure to clean out your ears! Here at Dianella Family Medical Centre we now have a new technique we use to clean your ears of wax. This new technique we use is called an ear toilet and we use a new machine to do this. A Ear Toilet is a suction procedure to remove wax which sucks out the wax from your ear rather than an ear syringe which washes out the wax with gentle water pressure. We still offer ear syringing here at Dianella Family Medical Centre.

09.01.2022 I am pleased to say we passed another accreditation here at Dianella Family Medical Centre. Thanks again to all staff and doctors for helping to make this possible. A very stressful time, but thank goodness the next one is 3 years away.

09.01.2022 Yes, we have finally been able to set up the free flu clinic with all of our doctors. If you fall into the category of over 65 or have a diagnosed chronic illness, please call reception on 9276 3472 to check which days your doctor is having their flu clinic. If you are unavailable on their day, you are able to make an appointment with another doctor.

06.01.2022 With it being National Pyjama Day, the staff and doctors decided to participate and dress up in their pj's. For some, that meant going & buying some but for others, it gave them the chance of not having to dress when they got up this morning. Thank you to patients and staff for their kind contributions to this wonderful charity. Check out the photos of everyone who took up the challenge!!

06.01.2022 In the month of July, we said goodbye to Dr Minoli Cumarantunge and hello to Dr Jessica Lee. Dr Lee is at the beginning of her GP studies and is enthusiastically looking forward in meeting our patients here at Dianella. Dr Lee will be under the tutelage of Dr Moodley & Dr Bulten for the next 6 months on the registrar program,

04.01.2022 We don't have a date yet for flu clinics this year. Health Dept are keeping quiet about that. Will keep everyone updated when we receive them. If you have a mobile number, please make sure we have updated our records so you can receive text messages to confirm appointments & reminders.

03.01.2022 There are still tickets available to see Dr Bertel Bulten singing in the Perth Symphonic Chorus this Saturday night at the Perth Concert Hall. They will be presenting Brahms' German Requiem and I've been assured by people who should know, this is a wonderful Requiem I've been to 2 of these performances in the past and they are amazing. Just visit the Perth Concert Hall website which will direct you to where you can buy tickets.

02.01.2022 As we come to the end of Dr Lee's time with us here at Dianella, all the staff would like to say a big thank you for all your time and effort you have put into the practice. It has been a pleasure having you here and we all look forward in having you back again, working with us in the near future.
