19.01.2022 There has been some misinformation in the media recently suggesting that Mars One is bankrupt. In this post I share Mars One's press release on this matter, which clarifies that a) Mars One is not bankrupt, b) the Mars One mission progresses, c) Mars One has a new investor, and d) the company that is bankrupt is a company Mars One acquired during stock exchange activity 2 years ago and renamed Mars One Ventures. On 6 March 2019 (probably 7 March for those of us in Australia)... Mars One's new investor and Mars One will be holding a press conference to share exciting information on current activities and the road ahead. To those who are wondering how it has affected me: it has not had any effect on me. I continue to be an astronaut candidate, and continue to live my life today which includes a heavy focus on completing my PhD, supporting and promoting STEM activity, my own personal 'Mars-readiness training', self-experimentation and more.
