22.01.2022 My pastel painting, Dancing In The Dark has been a painting in progress, over time. I guess it’s like me forever changing, learning in life nothing ever stays the same, even when we want it to. We have to change to grow. This is a quote I love by Victoria Nalani Kneubuhl Some knowledge comes to us like a seed....Then, we have to bury it & leave it alone in the dark. When it’s time, it comes up again & grows. (Into a beautiful flower, I added this, hence the paintings ...name.) Strelitzia, crane flower or bird of paradise is a stunning tropical flower one the stands out due to its shape and color, its name comes from the fact it looks like a colourful male bird putting on a show while in flight. With the bright colors of Orange, Purple and Yellow, Blue and earthy Green leaves this plant can give energy on a physical and spiritual level.

13.01.2022 Last year in covid, rather than waste the year I decided to complete the many projects I had started & never finished. Works in progress. One of them was to find me & who I wanted to be? Big question? Yoga has always been part of my life & kept me moving after being told at 23years by a Orthopedic spinal specialist that with my neck damage, I would never hold down a full time job & eventually end up in a wheelchair. My reaction was "not happening to me" & so my yoga jo...urney began & has been a part of my life ever since. I practiced and did training in Svaroopa yoga then in 2020 one of my goals was to do my Mindfulness Teacher training, I have nearly completed these only have a little practice work to complete. Have my certificate from the wonderful Tammy owner of NRG YOGA. 2021 I am working on completing my 300hr teacher training. If yoga has taught me One thing, it is to remember to BREATHE. 11.01.2022 Missing my Jess, luckily the Norfolk dogs love pats & cuddles, this one was up town today. Where we are staying at Castaways has a resident dog "Pepsi" loves attention when he wants it. Especially when Foxy the brewers dog arrives.
07.01.2022 Wow! have been working in oil paint, on special portrait commission of a family of four, have only ever painted most portraits in pastel, now I cannot use pastel because of dust allergy. I don't trace, only draw what I see & feel, the soul. I am working from 3 photos merging the family together, working on scale from photos, composition that brings them together as a forever memory of a Mum who passed away before a christning. I am an artist who is always learning, so thankful for being able to bring happiness to so many people. This is a work in progress.
