24.01.2022 After 2 hours of kayaking in the Bay of Islands, we finally found the track. Cue cheese grin...

24.01.2022 Hey guys!! . Help me out here! So as many of you know, I’m quite the frequent traveller, and something I thought might be cool was to put a poll out using instagrams new ‘Poll’ feature in the story section. The poll I’ve done here will be a regular occurrence on my travels and you guys can have some input into the things I do and the things you see on my feed. If you haven’t already, follow the adventure on my instagram @ianslifestory and get voting!! ... Share this video if you like the idea! With a little help from you, who knows where I’ll end up...

24.01.2022 Rest is not idleness, and to lie on the grass under trees on a sunny day, listening to the trickle of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is by no means a waste of time. The crystal clear waters of the Glen Esk Stream post Kitekite waterfall. ... Taken exploring @visitauckland and Kite-Kite Falls w/ @bree_may92

23.01.2022 Bubbling mud pools, steaming stormwater drains and the beautiful Kerosene Creek. A natural hot spring watercourse with a steaming waterfall. Nature never ceases to amaze me....

21.01.2022 The time @visitauckland put on a show for sunset.... Afternoon hangarangs with my NZ tour guide @bree_may92

19.01.2022 Vote Yes. I managed to capture this rainbow that appeared right infront of my eyes in the wave mist at Fingal Headland on a fun adventure with @bree_humphreys ... It makes me appreciate the paradise that surrounds me and the freedom that I am privileged with being born an Australian.

16.01.2022 Freedom... Certain experiences in my life have taught me how truly valuable it is. Being able to do what you wish with the present moment, which is all we ever own, is such a blessing. If you have it, don’t waste it. I snapped this shot on a recent adventure to Cathedral Cove. New Zealand is a beautiful country. If you have the freedom to go, you should do so.

11.01.2022 Sometimes it’s just as beautiful to watch the city rise as it is the sun set.... The sky tower @visitauckland and the city lights turning on the heat for this shot.

11.01.2022 When it just clicks. Beep beep, sssssnap. Shutter speed is good, aperture is good, lighting is perfect and the scenery is once in a lifetime. Here’s the moment when the sun touched the cliffs from behind the clouds at sunset, and we knew we were in for a light show.

10.01.2022 I visited @swellsculpture again last night to see the night lighting. If you haven't been I would insist you get a program when you go so you can actually understand the art. I found this sculpture particularly intriguing given the current overload of natural disasters around the world. ... Using materials collected from the beaches of Kangaroo Island and Northern Queensland, @sallysimpsonart examines our relationship with the Sea. She says 'the process of collecting and transforming materials draws on the continuous tradition of many cultures attempting to mediate and appeal to the forces of nature through ritual objects made from local materials'

10.01.2022 Yesterday I visited the Muriwai cliffs to shoot sunset with @bree_may92. I didn’t have a filter, only a 50mm prime and there was roughly 45,000 photographers shooting but I managed to get this human free shot of the wildlife in full swing. Beautiful is an understatement.... @visitauckland @travelnewzealand

08.01.2022 New Zealand's coastlines are saucccce - @bree_may92

06.01.2022 Cycling the Bay of Plenty working up a thirst... - @bree_may92

06.01.2022 Sipping some cold tins of @sapporo watching @visitauckland come alive. W/ @bree_may92 atop Mt Eden. ... What a view....

05.01.2022 A memory from Thailand, trail biking around the mountains of Chiang Mai with a tube of Pringles in my back pocket. I’m so appreciative to have had the freedom and finances to travel in my life. To experience different cultures and lifestyles. To experience different sights, sounds, smells, languages, tastes, people and landscapes. Grateful for the experiences and aware of the privilege.

04.01.2022 I snapped this shot of a Pou carving on the Mercer Bay Loop Track in Auckland. The carved pou symbolises the spiritual guardianship of Te Kawerau a Maki and recognises that this is a special place, being one of the oldest settled parts of the Waitakere Ranges. Powdery gold and black sand covers the beach at the bottom of the highest cliffs in Auckland, as seen in one of my previous posts.

04.01.2022 I managed to find a little 'sit and enjoy' spot, all to myself on the Cathedral Cove track. I've never experienced New Zealand outside of snowboarding. This place is steaming with adventure!

03.01.2022 One would think I'd know how to pack properly...body slamming suitcases shut since 2003. I'm headed to New Zealand's beautiful north island to visit a friend. You guys can expect some more nature content soon. keep reading . ... If you would like to know what services I use to save tonnnes on travel. Share this post and send me a DM . Let's get that heavy passport!
