24.01.2022 The Missing Links. I believe we need to establish genuine links between our Community and Council to ensure the elected Council continually understands What our Community values and wants to keep What our Community believes needs improving What's missing that the Community would like to see developed in new projects or services. It begins with the Community, not with outside Consultants coming in with plans similar to something created elsewhere. ... Community-driven action and projects empower communities and result in positive outcomes. I am passionate about empowering our Community. When was the last time anyone asked to hear your ideas and then did something to help you make them a happen? Hardly ever happens does it? But we can all remember when our Council introduced a "new" project or plan to our community and asked us to attend a meeting or complete a survey to tell them what we thought about it. See more
23.01.2022 For those keen to follow what is happening re the cultural landscape around Mt Arapilies- Tooan and the resulting closures to these areas. Believe we should have serious concerns that the "roadmap for the coming years" is "subject to funding and the current settlement process". Given that most Vic Govt funding does not ever reach our part of Vic - we need complete transparency and accountability of this process and what is occurring.

HOW? by collaborating- that means working together to find solutions , actively and respectfully listening to each other and by giving credit and taking responsibility for our actions . Let's take our community forward with hope and positivity for the future - Vote 1 Di Bell for HRCC

18.01.2022 I have received a number of emails requesting I pledge support to various organisations in return for my name showing as a supporter to members. I will not be signing any pledges as I am standing for Council to represent everyone in our HRCC Community equally. The Local Govt Act 2020 includes this in the role of the Councillor: In performing the role of a Councillor, a Councillor must 28 2 (a) consider the diversity of interests and needs of the municipal community And the... HRCC Councillor Code of Conduct includes: Considering the diversity of interests and needs of other Councillors, Council staff and the local community and treating everyone’s opinions, beliefs, rights and responsibilities with respect. This is my pledge. See more

11.01.2022 Who am I? I was born and raised (Dianne Carracher) on a Wimmera farm at Minimay. Grew up in a loving family with 4 younger brothers and had a great lifestyle spending hours in the paddocks helping, playing netball and tennis with many fun times at our local Lake Charlegrark. I learned at a young age, the value of working for our community when going along with Dad and Mum to working bees and supporting social events. I have a true appreciation of the wonderful lifestyle the Wimmera offers.
10.01.2022 I AM... your Vote #1 candidate if these values matter to you!

02.01.2022 How amazing to have stunning places like Mt Arapilies as part of Horsham Rural City. World renowned climbing faces have brought so many international tourists and regular climbers to our area. We need to find a way to protect our treasures but also keep climbing spaces open. We must solve this!! #hrcc #horsham #horshamvictoria #election2020
02.01.2022 Whilst advocating for the community in recent years, I have listened to so many ideas from those I have met. We have so many passionate and skilled community members who picture many different developments. We must engage our community to share and build the vision for our future together. I am looking forward to the NEW Community Vision to be developed in 2021 capturing these ideas to guide the new Council.
01.01.2022 Great to see Mt Arapiles discussion being taken to Parliament.
