22.01.2022 Delivered a Isuzu 4HK1 today. Owner had purchased a second hand engine from Victoria, for his 20 ton Hitachi excavator. It was meant to be a like for like engine in his excavator. When it arrived the rear timing housing and front cover exhaust system was different. The workshop that is doing the job had asked for my assistance. I arranged for it to be sent to a rebuild shop that had the special tooling, that was required to reassemble the engine. Upon removing the sump we fou...nd that a couple of bearings had started to score the crank. I advised the customer it will require the crankshaft polished and new mains/bigend bearings. We also found that the cylinders needed a hone and a new set of piston rings. The engine had all new gaskets fitted, new front cover, correct flywheel housing and timing gears fitted. 13.01.2022 Custom built Hydraulic Power Pak was delivered today. The power pak was fitted with a Perkins 1106C-70TA IOPU 162KWm engine. The 300litre fuel with custom built canopy and exhaust to suit. The control system is K27 Kensho panel with a linear actuator. If you need a customer canopy or fuel tank please contact me.
