I was so lost in marketing, hype and "science" of diets that I didn't realise how illogical they really are. They're completely disconnected from the real issues behind the emotional and overeating.... It's a completely disjointed way to approach mental, emotional and physical health. 16.01.2022 JUST LET GO! 9 years ago, I was very devastated about my weight. I felt uncomfortable... I felt confused I felt sad I felt so little I felt unattractive I felt depressed I felt tired I felt pain Until one day, I decided to let go. I let go of my insecurities I let go of my fear I let go of my doubts I let go of the thought that I'm not going to be happy because I am overweight I let go of the burden that had me depressed for decades and decided to be happy with what I am, with what I have, and what I do. I STOPPED DIETING AND STARTED LIVING! 14.01.2022 Do you JUST want to lose weight? Or do you want HEALTH? For 25 years I just wanted to lose weight, more accurately I didn't want to be fat! And I did lose the weight....then I'd find it again...then I'd lose it again....but it just keep finding me...... Then, in 2011 something bizarre happened. I decided I didn't want to be skinny. I decided that I wanted to be happy and I wanted to be healthy ....not just in 2011, but long into my retirement years (I was only 45, I was thinking ahead ) And that year, I took the time to make real changes, changes that would actually last and stand the test of time, changes to; The way I ate - no restrictions, everything was allowed The way I thought about and approached exercise (it had to be fun or I wasn't doing it!) The way I thought, felt, viewed and reacted to life And you know what...... By 2012; I was 20kg lighter. The 3 migraines a week that I'd been having for 25 years were gone.
