24.01.2022 Digby and Richard <3

22.01.2022 Today would have been Digby's 72nd birthday and yesterday marked 6 months since his untimely death. He was a dad, a partner, grandfather & great grandfather (pop), brother, step-dad, uncle, friend, mentor, confidant and colleague and simply a beautiful person. He was so many things to so many people and it is impossible to convey how much we all miss him. There remains a huge hole in our lives that will never be filled. We are hoping that once life returns to some kind of normality we will be able to furnish you all with details of a proposed scholarship fund for emerging indigenous artists honouring Digby's name. It would be great if we could count on your support when the time comes. <3 Thank you to Kay Cleverly for the beautiful photo.

22.01.2022 I would also like to acknowledge Jeff Gant who is the artist that painted this amazing portrait of Digby, which we were honoured to use at his funeral. Jeff was a good friend of Digby and we feel truly blessed to have this beautiful artwork. Thank you Jeff.

13.01.2022 At the end of Term 2, St. Francis Xavier Primary School in Ballina held an exhibition of artworks that the students had produced in a unit of work based on Digby's art and stories (during their NAIDOC celebrations) Digby regularly conducted workshops at this school and we sincerely thank Taylor Jarrett for co-ordinating the exhibition and inviting us to attend. Congratulations to the students, the artworks were fantastic!

05.01.2022 It was a bittersweet day for us all today. Unfortunately due to Covid restrictions only 30 people were allowed to attend the opening of new Mullumbimby Gateway. If you're travelling the Pacific Highway do yourself a favour and take the short detour to Mullum and place your hands on the magnificent totem pole, which is Digby's final piece of public art and a beautiful legacy to him.
