25.01.2022 What a night at Middlemount end of year fight night! Dig Deep boxing/Dysart Boxing had 7 on and what a display of hard work and dedication! CIARA,Carson,Jen all 3 boxed beautiful to come away with the win! Crystal rose, Flynn, justin all coming away with really great learning experience for there fights! Tonight results show how hard these kids train well done!! Alex stepping in for a exhibition again sunny well done to both! To Mick Elzer and Alex I could not do this with out both you fellas well done!

Giving away nearly 5kg and 7 fights in experience against a very tough and classy opponent we again saw Rueben backing himself against any odds. 23.01.2022 Dig Deep BC is very disappointed that due to the current COvid19 crisis the tournaments for this year up until the end of May have been cancelled. This obviously has a big impact on our athletes and clubs however we understand and fully support the decision by Boxing QLD. As a society we all have a responsibility to assist if preventing the spread of this virus and if that may means that we will suffer some inconvenience then this is small price to pay to help keep our most v...ulnerable safe. 18.01.2022 My wife Tanya found these old clippings and Craig Storch thought I should share. What a flash back. Eric Timms had 45 fights with 5 losses. I only had 5 fights when I fought him. We fought 5 x 2 min rounds - from memory I think it was the first 5 round in QLD amateur boxing after they opened the rules to allow it. Thought you might get a If anyone knows Eric or is connected with him would love to get in touch.... Shaun Fulfird was another boxer from Emerald. Extremely tough and tenacious fighter. As 2019 draws to a close it is good to be able to look back at our year and enjoy the success that our little club and it athletes have enjoyed throughout. This year saw the team travel as far Brisbane in the South, Townsville in the North and Mt Isa in the West. Ciara Storch again came away with Gold in the 57kg division with a dominate performance to give her her third consecutive Qld Title. Carson Lawrence fought a close bout with one of Australia’s top boxers in Ryan Porter in the Jnr 57kg division to come away with a Silver Medal to add to last years Gold at the states!... 02.01.2022 Dig Deep in conjunction with Dysart Boxing Club were proud to host an open sparring day for our clubs in Nth Qld. The day was attended by clubs from Mackay, Rockhampton, Middlemount and Mount Isa. With 58 athletes ranging in age from 8 - 35 , weights from 34- 90kg and experience levels from 0- exp fighters. Most exciting was the presence of over 10 novice boxers that outlines for us the growth of our sport in North Qld! We were extremely humbled by the sportsmanship, comrad...ery, and support that each and every athlete, coach and supporter exhibited throughout the day Thank you to all involved for making this day a success for the athletes and the sport in general.
