16.01.2022 Are you adding value? OR are you taking up space? I love this question. I have been asking myself this question quite a bit recently. Why am I on social media? A lot of content I see on social media (mine included) has no real purpose and this question made me really think about my content. One reason for me is the Corona Virus changed the landscape we live in. We are in a recession, people have been losing their jobs and who knows what the future holds. It's been a sca...ry time and it was important for me to post positive messages rather than about my business or selling. So now I think it's time to start really posting a bit more about my business and what I am so passionate about.... website design which includes branding, copy writing and the odd CSS. I am new to social media and getting it right is tricky but I am going to give it a whirl and post stuff that is really informative and of course is not taking up space. There will still be the odd happy message too (I can't help myself). So what about yourself? Have you thought about how you are adding value or how you might start doing so with your social media?
04.01.2022 Website design goes hand in hand with your branding and one part of that is your voice. Ask yourself: Does your brand voice reflect your business. Does your writing (copy) really sound like you.... OR like an alien abducted you LOL?... Have you really sat down and thought about what your brand voice should be? OR are you trying to be like everyone else? Are you watching all your favourite social media influencers and trying to do what they are doing? There are so many questions to ask yourself when it comes to branding and web design, but I think the most important thing is to sit down and spend some time on how you want your brand voice to be. If you want a true following (TRIBE) it takes time and it is not an overnight thing. You can keep changing your voice to get more followers, but at the end of the day you are not being true to yourself or your business. Keep being yourself, keep putting out engaging content and the tribe will happen. Believe in yourself. You've got this!
02.01.2022 Enjoy the little things. Life can change in the blink of an eye - take the Corona Virus for example, it has turned everyones lives upside down. Going for a walk and enjoying a hot chocolate is something I used to take for granted because I could do at anytime of the day basically, now seeing people in cafes, surfing or swimming is something that makes me smile. Enjoy the little things!
