25.01.2022 We can help with all sorts of IT emergencies. Today's call for help: "My cat jumped on my computer keyboard and now I can't get my settings back to normal". True Story.
21.01.2022 Beware of false messages in your emails. There is a new link appearing in scam emails at the top of the message asking if this email is spam. Please ensure you Don't click on the link.
20.01.2022 Another scam to watch out for. All updates are done via the control panel and not via emails.
10.01.2022 Looking for an alternative to the NBN, or still not available, then check out Node1 fixed WiFi Internet. Just upgraded our service and we are now getting great speeds.
10.01.2022 The Download Bomb exploit is back and is affecting all the major browsers like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, etc. However, Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer are unaffected by the exploit. For those who don’t know, the download bomb trick is a technique that involves initiating hundreds or thousands of downloads to freeze a browser on a specific page. This trick has been used for years by scammers and shady tech support websites to freeze the browser and force th...e user to call Tech Support for help. While Google confirmed that they fixed the issue, the latest version 67 update opened the loophole again. If you come across one of these issues then make sure to close the tab as soon as possible since the Download Bomb exploit will only work once the page is loaded completely. Alternatively, you can switch to Microsoft Edge and browse without any issues. However, in any case, you shouldn’t call the number listed on the webpage as it will connect you to the scammer. Make sure to always use the official number listed by your OEM on the User Manual in case you come across this issue.
10.01.2022 This article in the Daily Mail explains yet another click-bait topic, completely false, and clogging up Facebook feeds all around the world. The simple reality is that sharing a post on Facebook does not and cannot change the terms of your account, who, or what you see and share. https://www.dailymail.co.uk//Facebook-deadline-hoax-going-
09.01.2022 NBN scammers are out there too. Be aware!
05.01.2022 If your still on Windows 7 this is your last chance to upgrade fro free.
03.01.2022 Looking for a new tablet? What do you really want it to do?
02.01.2022 E-Fax messages seem to be doing the rounds again. This spam message often sees employees of small businesses falling victim thinking it's a legit "modern day" fax. As a preventative, make sure all staff are aware of your fax system (if you have one) and what fax messages look like when they come through. As always, if you fall victim, give us a call and we can help you out.
01.01.2022 5 o'clock in the evening and ran a speed test on my ISP, Node1 Internet. Very happy with their upgrade.
