The featured garments are from Mia’s graduate collection Jardin Del Amore which is a two-look Womenswear Collection that takes the wearer on a moving journey through the gardens of Love. The Collection is inspired by Frida Khalo and her influential story and activism through her life as well as the beauty she found in nature. The fabric used for the pieces has been hand...-rendered and then digitally printed, with the textile design inspired by Frida’s complicated love affairs with Diego. The design features Khalo’s love letters to Diego which have been torn and layered to create a textured print.
