I was really annoyed last week dealing with my business banking partner, ANZ, and their SMART FORM system. I assume this was an initiative to try and move beyond paper and into the 21st century (Yes you still have to go into a branch to close an account with ANZ... WTF) but it left me frustrated and with a bad taste about ANZ in my mouth. As the next generation of Digital Natives become active consumers, brands are going to need to triple down on ensuring their customer experience online are smooth and effortless. No more printing please ANZ and no, we do not own a fax machine.
