23.01.2022 Would you like to just catch up on a year or two youve not got around to scrapping? Over the past few years, Ive been investigating options for how to make it easier to finish scrapbooking some projects and fill in the gaps in my albums. This week Im sharing my discoveries with you Scrapbook Pages... I love scrapbooking and making pages from scratch, but even scrapbooking over 100 layouts a year theres still years I havent documented yet. It takes about an hour for me to make a page so an album takes 30+ hours to create! Do you create scrapbook pages? So its not a realistic option for catch up scrapbooking when you have your days willed to the bring with work, family and other commitments. Im certainly not about to give up making pages, but I had to keep searching!

17.01.2022 Do you want to evenly space out or align objects in Photoshop Elements? You might already know about the alignment tools, but theres another way to get your layouts looking neat and tidy. Hidden in the View Menu, is the Snapping menu. It can help you line your layers up with each other, the edge of your page or a grid. 16.01.2022 So whenever I see a quotation that says its a proverb, Im a bit skeptical, but I looked into this one and apparently it really is a saying. That literally means that a good memory is not as good as a rotten pen. - thanks Ken Lyn() in the @quora questions. All that to say... do you write down precious moments? 16.01.2022 Have you kept up with #PhotoAlbums - there is something so nice about being able to spend time with your photos in real life that a screen doesnt give us. When I was trying to fill in some gaps in my albums, I tried just printing photos and popping them in albums. It certainly was quicker to put photos in an album than to scrapbook them, but I still had the issue that some photos were horizontal and some vertical. Should I be writing on the back of these photos? What about telling the story of these photos? Plus I filled up those big fat photo albums in no time! So I kept trying to find a better solution - may be photobooks would be perfect for me? Find out tomorrow!

15.01.2022 Id like to introduce you to my favourite flower! The Thysanotus multiflorus, the Fringe Lily. I first saw this flower in my own backyard. Back in the early 90s our new build was in the middle of the banksia woodlands in Alexander Heights. I was so excited when this little clump of strappy grass blossomed one October. Every time I head out in the bush in spring, I keep my eye out for them!... Thanks to Angus Stewart for the gorgeous photo! What is your favourite flower? Well, I was thinking the other day that I am., well sort of... 7 Aug 2008 Im thankful for my hobby, which allows me to preserve our familys stories along with our pictures.... I love the fact I can use my graphic design skills and my computer skills, its heaps of fun too! Im thankful for my brand new Wacom bamboo tablet, scanner, computer, 1tb external hard drive and heaps of great moments to scrap! _______________ Ok, so I now have a 6Tb EHD and Im onto my second Wacom tablet... but my thinking is still much the same. This week Im sharing my discoveries with you Digital Scrapbooking Templates Templates are great for when you have the photos and journalling ready to go and wanted to get creative. You just add your photos and follow the placement guides for embellishments, journalling and titles. Its a little less time-intensive, but Id still spe...nd at least half an hour working on a page. Which is totally fine, but it didnt help me catch up any faster! So I kept hunting! See more

03.01.2022 This book was a naptime project! Can you believe it? Over the past few years, Ive been investigating options for how to make it easier to finish scrapbooking some projects and fill in the gaps in my albums. I was still looking for an easier way to create finished albums that had space for journalling and the scrapbooked look. So I combined Photoshop Elements auto-curate features with Shutterfly Make my Book to get my book finished in just an hour! I love ending up wit...h finished projects instead of nagging to-dos! A couple of years ago, I started using this new system. First, I finished my 2016 Family Yearbook in a fraction of the time it would have usually taken me. Then I went ahead and finally finished my December Daily Project from 2009! It was such a relief to have those projects done and just look at Matthews face! It was so worth it! I was so excited to make finishing books a reality for more people, so I gathered up what Ive learnt creating these projects into bite-size videos and created Simple Family Yearbook.
