25.01.2022 DIGnity is back this week at Okines! Due to unforseen circumstances our Nubeena sessions won't start until next month though. Sorry for the inconvenience.

25.01.2022 As an organisation working in the mental health field we have heard a lot about the affects of COVID-19 on our mental health. Similarly Climate Change has a huge potential to cause stress and anxiety. Are you a G.P., psychologist, counsellor, psychiatrist, art therapist, music therapist, wilderness therapist, occupational therapist, or other health or healing professional who works with - or is interested in working with individuals with climate change anxiety? Or maybe you a...re a scientist, writer, artist, musician, researcher, environmental educator, Permaculture designer, or climate justice activist interested in how climate change anxiety is impacting individuals in your field? If so, please follow the link below to see how you can contribute to a climate change anxiety research project. https://www.psychstudio.com/s/1209

22.01.2022 A great session in the garden today with the Dignity team, guests and wonderful volunteers. We used 4 new stainless bowls for harvesting fresh produce, food prep and mixing the pizza dough. The bowls have been donated to Dignity from a local community member whose generosity is greatly appreciated, from everyone at dignity we say Thank You :)

13.01.2022 Interested in working in therapeutic horticulture? DIGnity is looking for a qualified social worker or mental health counselor to join our team from mid-October... to mid-December. Your main role will be to provide support to those who may have mental health barriers to engaging in the gardening sessions. Experience working with clients in outdoor settings is preferred. 11.01.2022 Another Beautiful day coming up in Okines Community Garden this week and every Thursday until Christmas :)

10.01.2022 As well as gardening activities we always have weaving (or other natural art) and food preparation going on at our DIGnity sessions. We find that these can often be really great options for those with limited mobility, low energy and even very frail, elderly nursing home residents. At @okinescommunitygarden we have a beautiful undercover outdoor kitchen space which is perfect for shelter from the elements while still being in amongst the beautiful productive garden.

08.01.2022 Dear gardeners, here is an opportunity to take part in a cool global study investigating the role of gardening during the coronavirus pandemic. Feel free to share! https://swinuw.au1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_88LTM30joDzA2hf
