22.01.2022 We chose Di for That personal connection, we wanted a celebrant who would get to know us personally and would also be professional on our wedding day. We also wanted someone who would connect with our guests, of all ages, from young cousins to our grandparents. We knew you spoke clearly, proudly... and that you added humour, very classy humour too.... We also loved that you were local to the Mornington Peninsula and that you loved and appreciated our wedding location as much as we did. Di you also made it so easy for Marc and I to meet you during the planning process. Just loved our day... thank you Di #lovers #thankyou #brideandgroom #popupwithstyle #destinationwedding #thevirtualweddingfair #toastcommunitymorningtonpeninsula #morningtonpeninsulaweddings

20.01.2022 And she said...... I made it!! The love that Katie and TJ have something rather special. Katie and TJ are not fans of grand gestures and public displays of affection. Their love is a very private love, which they often cradle close to their chests. ... But on this day they invited, the people they care about the most, to witness their love as they made a public commitment to each other. Sometimes, love hits you like a sledgehammer, others are a slow gradual burn, and then there are others that need the flickering flame to be doused with petrol. Or in this case a bold Shiraz. Baxter Barn was awash with love on this beautiful day.

19.01.2022 Dance me to the end of love... 13.01.2022 #love #pain #funerals #family #friends #rituals There are moments in life that are elevated. The ones that require a few tissues or a strong drink, usually both! Funerals are about 'good grief' they help to get the grief moving so that it doesn't get stuck inside.... Last week we started that process of healing, no hurry, just a day by day process. Thank you, Carol for your kind words. The backdrop is my fav painting from Miodrag Jankovic

10.01.2022 This is how we should be seeing the world. Long post but worth the read.

10.01.2022 Not even the weather could dampen the feelings here! You just know when you have each other's backs. Eloping never felt so good. If you want to have an intimate day, do it. You can then celebrate at a later date with your besties. If you and your partner are the super spontaneous types always looking for an unconventional adventure. Do it! ... Many are opting to eschew tradition in favour of a quick elopement. Just because you're marrying this way doesn't mean that the day isn't specialit's still your wedding and there are reasons to be excited and celebrate. Indulge in the bridal aspects of your day," Wear the special dress do the florals...and perhaps even set the table, complete with your dream centrepiece, a bottle (s) of champagne, and food to fit the occasion Just as M & C. did. 08.01.2022 I am writing this little post on a "really" down day, today. I feel for so, many people that are all doing the right thing and have had to postpone or cancel weddings and funerals because of this pandemic. To witness families that have to make a choice as to who can attend the funeral of a loved one is so distressing. How funerals have changed? Travel bans and mandatory self-isolation periods can delay some funerals. ... Family and loved ones are facing a very different funeral to the one they envisaged. And while funeral directors and others in the deathcare industry are changing the way we care for the dead, there are clearly challenges. Anyone who has ever been even on the periphery of wedding planning knows that it’s not always the magical time it’s cut out to be. But can you imagine finalising every detail only to have to do it all again, and maybe even once more because a pandemic wrecked your plans? Believe it... You’re kind of in denial. . . . You never imagine having a backup plan to something you’ve been planning for so long. and if one more person tells you everything’s fine because at least you can still get married, it's no wonder couples are beginning to lose it! This is why the down day... BUT I am not getting married or saying goodbye to a loved one ... I am just feeling their loss today as I talk through these issues with clients. Rant over!!!

07.01.2022 If you have been living under a rock you will not be aware of how the landscape relating to weddings has changed. We are so used to weddings being big events, nether the less small weddings are quite common. Of late having a limited number is a safer way to get married in light of the COVID climate the world finds itself in. For many couples’ intimate smaller weddings have been their preferred choice. (anything up to 50 guests, sometimes much smaller) The couple has more c...ontrol over what is important to them i.e. at the end of the day, they have married their loveend of this story. As well time can be spent celebrating the fabulous occasion with the guests, making fun memories that will last a lifetime. Elopements are smaller, usually (but not always) just the couple and their two witnesses. With all the glamour and feelings of a larger ceremony, these ceremonies are packed with emotion. Tissue jobs! Over the next six months, many people will choose one of these options, neither compromise the love, fun and feeling of this special day. Let's talk!! there are options galore! #elopements #intimateaffairsoftheheart #yourdayyourway #weddingdreams #celebrate #boutique #like #couplegoals #selflove

06.01.2022 Today's mood... The days are getting weirder by the hour. Need to get a dose of fresh air and a walk. I am sensing the mood of many who are now changing their dates for the second and third time. Just think when you get to the party it will be a cracker celebration. ... 04.01.2022 Even in a state of despair, families still take the time to acknowledge your presence. Love my job I have been privileged to work with this family on two occasions now. I remember George as the proud father of the bride as he escorted his daughter down the aisle at Port Phillip Estate Thank you, Lee, and Caroline.... Dear Di, I am messaging a belated but heartfelt thank you for the wonderful Funeral Service which you conducted for my late husband, George Balla, on 10 July at Springvale. Your understanding of George's background and compassionate words were comforting and much appreciated. Although we could only have 10 people at the funeral, we all felt that it made more meaningful and personal. My stepson in Brisbane commented that the live streaming of the service made him feel as though they were there in the back row which was very pleasing. Thank you once again Lee xxxx and Caroline xxxxx

03.01.2022 Each ceremony is different as you can see with these three gorgeous couples... one of the plus’s of my role is meeting so many people all with amazing love stories. 02.01.2022 Nobody wants to think about end of life housekeeping however the basic needs of saying goodbye, celebrating a life with all the memories shared are immeasurable. Together with @moonrakerdolphinswims we are offering people an experience that is both considerate and respectful as they scatter the ashes of their loved ones at sea. Our mission is simple, honour, celebrate and remember a life in an environment that is nature personified.

01.01.2022 Imagine you were born in 1900. When you're 14, World War I begins and ends when you're 18 with 22 million dead. Soon after a global pandemic, the Spanish Flu, appears, killing 50 million people. And you're alive and 20 years old.... When you're 29 you survive the global economic crisis that started with the collapse of the New York Stock Exchange, causing inflation, unemployment and famine. When you're 33 years old the nazis come to power. When you're 39, World War II begins and ends when you're 45 years old with a 60 million dead. In the Holocaust 6 million Jews die. When you're 52, the Korean War begins. When you're 64, the Vietnam War begins and ends when you're 75. A child born in 1985 thinks his grandparents have no idea how difficult life is, but they have survived several wars and catastrophes. Today we have all the comforts in a new world, amid a new pandemic. But we complain because we need to wear masks. We complain because we must stay confined to our homes where we have food, electricity, running water, wifi, even Netflix! None of that existed back in the day. But humanity survived those circumstances and never lost their joy of living. A small change in our perspective can generate miracles. We should be thankful that we are alive. We should do everything we need to do to protect and help each other. This message should reach everyone. Please help me spread it. #ctto Dom Arpa thank you for these wise words
