10.01.2022 One of the most wonderful aspects of being a local musician is the opportunity to meet, learn and respect the local communities here in WA. Through Reggae music and initial introductions by my son Rowan Parekh I have made so many strong friendships with Maori musicians and their families. We have written songs together, played, celebrated and enjoyed ourselves. I have always been touched by the deep spirituality that their culture attributes to music. And this Saturday we get to celebrate original Kiwi music at a very special event organized by Dean Kiri Palemene Umu . Unfortunately it is sold out; next year they are planning a larger venue. My wife Carolyn and I are deeply honored to be invited to perform at this very special event. So grateful for Jah’s blessings.
