25.01.2022 Ann Falkingham has asked For help for the indigenous communities in Tennant Creek. They need beanies To keep them warm this winter both adult and children. If you can help please leave knitted, crochet, or sewn beanies at the gateway shop in the next two weeks. We are open Thursdays and Fridays.

25.01.2022 The Gateway Shop has face coverings/masks for sale. Only$3.00 each they are made from cotton fabric in various prints and soft elastic. Made to the Herald Sun recommended pattern these masks are washable and reusable. There are no returns on masks and they are sealed in bags so that you know customers have not been touching them or trying them on! We will take orders as long as we can source the elastic. Remember to treat your mask like your undies.... once you have it on don’t touch it. If it gets damp change it! And when you take it off, bag it to take home and then wash it in hot water. If you wear glasses and they keep fogging up when you wear a mask, it is recommended to put a folded tissue along the top of the mask to absorb the dampness. Also washing your specs in warm soapy water will help solve this problem.

24.01.2022 Remembrance Day 2020 featuring the poppy dress in the window at the Gateway Shop. Men and women from Dimboola and surrounds who paid the ultimate price are listed on the boards. World War I, World War II and the Korean War...... We will remember them. Thanks to everyone who helped with the production of the dress. Poppies are the symbol of remembrance. Lest We Forget.

22.01.2022 Face masks are still available at The Gateway Shop but the price has gone up! It is getting harder and harder to source elastic and the elastic prices have sky rocketed so we have raised our prices to reflect this and the actual amount of time they are taking to make! Rounded front fitted masks are now $10 and the Herald Sun pattern rectangle mask is now $5. Thanks to everyone for their support!

18.01.2022 The Gateway Shop will be open this Saturday and Sunday mornings. 3rd and 4th October. Come to Dimboola, go to the inaugural Jellex Market beside IGA on Sunday. Visit the Imaginarium, check out the Nolan Studio, the Theatre Shop, Tilly and Mango,Dimboola Store Coffee Shop. and the Victoria Hotel is a must see as well with its quirky decor. BUT most importantly save some time to visit THE GATEWAY SHOP ....There’s lots to see and lots to buy. Most of these interesting pla...ces are open all day with Tilly and Mango open from 11 till 3, Dimboola Store open till 4.30 Friday and usually till 3 or so on the weekends. Victoria Hotel is Open for lunch (12 -2) and dinner (5.30-8.30) on Saturday and Sunday. THE GATEWAY SHOP IS OPEN FROM 10am both Saturday and Sunday. SPECIAL OF THE WEEK...... 08.01.2022 It’s almost Halloween. Get your scream masks, witches hats, goody bags and bowls, and all manner of spooky things at the Gateway Shop. We also have plenty of plants, and new items in the shop. Remember we are open Saturdays mornings now as well as Thursday and Friday. We will be open on Sunday Nov 1 Jellex market day.

08.01.2022 Yes we are closing as of tomorrow at 12.oo. The girl guides Easter raffle will be drawn then. Winners will be notified. It is sad that we have to close for the time being but for everyone’s safety it is for the best. Keep safe people and keep washing your hands and stay home if you can. Come in for a browse: we guarantee you will find a huge array of items. Do you collect chooks? You will love the wide range of chicken ornaments available from The Gateway Shop. Come in and check them out. We have a large range of scrapbooking papers in stock. And Lace both lace edging and eyelet lace... is in abundance. Grab a bargain! Speaking,of bargains.... our bargain bin contains a variety of zips.... all colour and sizes... only 50c each. Hand towels range in price from $5 to $10. We have just received some awesome machine embroidered ones that would add style to any kitchen and make a perfect gift. Cotton water bottle carriers $2each will be handy for your school kids to carry their water down the pool. Don’t forget Valentine’S day on Feb 14. Our window display is dedicated to this sweet time of the year showing some of our range of cards, gifts, jewellery, and hollow glass hearts available for purchase for that special someone in your life. We hope 2020 isn’t moving to fast for everyone. Remember The Gateway Shop is manned by volunteers and stocked by local artisans, crafts people and cooks. 05.01.2022 Spring is here... warm weather and sunshine! The Gateway Shop has heaps of baby gear ... jackets, towels, bibs, quilts, blankets and much more. Very reasonable prices and lots to choose from. We have very talented craftspeople in Dimboola who supply the shop. Come in and check us out.

05.01.2022 Lorraine has had plenty of time on her hands with the Covid lockdown and she has been very industrious doing ‘up’ the old sewing machines. We have three sewing machine art installations on view... the first one was covered in sequins and beads and gem stickers and was made by Lorraine and Janet. This one inspired Lorraine who has since decorated two more for the shop. We have a sewing notions machine and a machine that features miniatures of most things sold in the Gateway Shop. Miniature donuts, sausage rolls, jumpers, aprons, too many items to name.... come into the shop and check them out. Thanks Mars for the photos.
