25.01.2022 Incorrect listing of Dingley Village Neighbourhood Centre a COVID-19 exposure site on 6th August. Please be assured that the Dingley Village Neighbourhood Centre has no knowledge of an exposure to COVID-19 on the 6th August 2020, we have not been contacted by the Department of Health in relation to any cases or contact and the Centre was closed on the 6th August under Stage 4 restrictions. The listing is on a data base created and operated by a commercial company who does da...ta visualisation for websites, and they appear to have sourced data from a variety of sources to populated the visualisation. The source of information they have used for the Dingley Village Neighbourhood Centre is the Department of Education list of: Current school and early childhood service, TAFE closures and relocations. This list refers to closures & relocations under Stage 4 restrictions not because of cases of Coronavirus. We are well aware that this type of misinformation causes concern and anxiety to our local community and Centre users, we are attempting to have the listing removed. The Board of the Dingley Village Neighbourhood Centre has put in place strict protocols to ensure the safety of staff, children and centre users, when were open. If we are advised officially by the Department of Health of a positive contact or case associated with the Dingley village Neighbourhood centre we will make a full and frank disclosure to the community.

18.01.2022 Happy Mothers Day to you all.

18.01.2022 An important update from Dan Andrews regarding the current COVID-19 situation: I know the majority of Victorians are doing the right thing by staying home bu...t we're still seeing groups of people meeting up and carrying on as normal. This cannot continue. So from 11.59pm tonight, Victoria will introduce Stage 3 restrictions. Under these measures, there will only be four reasons to leave your house. For food and supplies. For exercise. For medical care. And for work and education if necessary. And just so we're clear: 'getting some exercise' means going for a walk round the block or a bike ride to stretch your legs and get some fresh air. It means staying local not driving for miles or being out all day. We've also closed skate parks, outdoor gyms and playgrounds. I know this will be tough especially on parents with little ones but we simply can't have people congregating in these areas. Under Stage 3, gatherings of more than two people will be off limits. That doesn't mean you should think "Great, I still have one mate round for beers at home and that's OK." It's really not. I know it's hard not to see friends. I know it's hard to be stuck at home all day. And I know this will ask a lot of Victorians. But we all need to be prepared and be patient because what we do now will literally save lives. There are thousands of Victorians on the front line of this pandemic. Doctors and nurses. Paramedics. Supermarket workers and delivery drivers. The Victorians driving our trams and trains and buses. The cleaners making sure our state is safe and hygienic. The scientists and researchers developing a vaccine. But the rest of us have an important job to do too. It's our role to help slow the spread of this virus so that fewer Victorians end up in intensive care. It's up to us to stop our health system from being overwhelmed. And the best way to do that is to stay home. I can't be much clearer than that. I'll be providing regular updates over the next couple of days, but in the meantime please remember this: It's one thing to thank our frontline workers and tell them how much they mean to us. But the real test is in our actions. If you value the hours and the effort they're putting in to keep us all safe: Stay home. Protect our health system. Save lives.

05.01.2022 It's Dingley Village Farmers' Market DAY!! We have created a map so that you can plan your shop before coming down. Please shop alone where possible and main...tain 1.5m between you and others. There are markers in front of each stall to help you and others stay safe. Please shop in the direction shown to help us comply with the current State Government of Victoria and Victorian Department of Health & Human Services guidelines. Cheltenham Police Station have been notified the market is operating - we want them not to fine our shoppers because they are doing the right things! xo This month, please leave your pooch at home. Why? Dogs are so cute and cuddly, they are a reason to stop and chat. They also tend to head towards other dogs which can make social distancing between owners more difficult. Dogs also take up roughly the same amount of space as humans. Though they are not taken into the amount of people shopping, they do take up space. If we are at human capacity plus dogs we would theatrically not have the required 4m2 space to move as outlined by the state government. This is the first time we have said this and we hope people understand. See you at the market 8:30am - 1pm 31 Marcus Rd, Dingley Village

03.01.2022 Hi all Just saw a news report about the stresses and strains of self isolation. It reported that people are going crazy from being in lock down! It was strange, actually, because I had just been talking about this with the microwave and toaster and all of us agreed that things are getting bad. I didn't mention anything to the washing machine as she always has to put a different spin on everything and certainly not to the fridge as he is acting cold and distant. In the end the... iron calmed me down. She said everything will be fine, which surprised me because shes usually the first one to apply unnecessary pressure and get steamed up over nothing !!! I think she might have been sneaking off to the medicine cabinet. Stay safe and stay well. Just a little bit of a laugh for you all today. We really do hope everyone is traveling ok, please reach out to someone if youre not feeling yourself. There are always people around to help you out.
