25.01.2022 Big media day for us today. Sooty was overwhelmed by Nick's big black camera, but Maggie from Channel 9 had the magic touch to calm him and form a little bond. She has the magic. Watch the news tonight for the full story.
23.01.2022 This week our #DingoOfTheWeek is the gorgeous Waratah, one of our 2020 cubs! Waratah may only be young, but she loves to chase the other cubs, play and explore! She's got gorgeous dark features and you will be able to see her on our cub livestream! To find out more about our sponsorship program visit our website at https://dingofoundation.org/sponsorship/
23.01.2022 Big shout out to World Class Hounds, animal transport, who pulled off the impossible for our mission to Hamilton Island Wildlife Park, somehow created a morning transfer where no connections existed. Virgin Airlines ensured that the cubs were installed in their new for ever home before lunch, same day. Watch for upcoming media.
23.01.2022 This official 9 version is easiest to view. We thank Channel 9 for picking up the dingo mythbusting story. Suggest as many as possible go to the original link and post a comment. The more media realise that people are interested in something the more they are likely to follow up. We know that at least 85% public love the dingo and want it protected.

21.01.2022 Our #DingoOfTheWeek this week is the man of the moment, Sooty! As you've probably seen, Sooty is a unique, sable, pure alpine Dingo that was found all alone near Jamieson, Victoria. It's very likely his parents were killed, either by hunters or by poison. He's now safe with us at the Dingo Discovery Sanctuary and Research Centre and will have the opportunity to live a happy, full life! ... You can follow Sooty on his instagram at https://instagram.com/sooty_dingo To find out more about our sponsorship program and how you can support the Australian Dingo Foundation in our mission visit our website at https://dingofoundation.org/sponsorship/
21.01.2022 As it's Father's Day here in Australia we wanted to share a message from Wandi Dingo to his dad... wherever he is now. Dear Dad, It's been over a year since I was taken away from our family, but I want you to know that I'm safe, loved and well at the Dingo Discovery Sanctuary and Research Centre. ... I hope that you are still out there somewhere. That you've avoided the hunters, the trappers, the poison baits and the people who misunderstand us. Im known all over the world now dad, and the humans are helping us to fight for the protection of all dingoes. Ive been able to reach so many people to help fight for your safety, and the safety of our family. People are listening. Thank you for being a great dad, for surviving in the wild and for looking after me for the first five weeks of my life. I hope Im doing you proud. Happy Fatherss Day. Love, Wandi.

13.01.2022 Threatened Species Day 2020. How far have we come? ADF has been toiling tirelessly for more than three decades to get a better deal for Australia's dingo. We thought we had made progress back in 2016 when the Federal Commissioner told us that only his signature was required to have the dingo protected. We thought we had succeeded back in 2008, when the official announcement came, after due process, that Victoria had declared the dingo Threatened. Investigations show that quite without proper process sneaky deals were made behind doors by three persons and no parliamentary vote, via Orders in Council, and the minister Undeclared the status. Something is very wrong with the way our political system is being administered presently. No wonder we have lost faith.
13.01.2022 A wonderful short film about dingoes, featuring our gorgeous Pumbah! In just 6 minutes you will learn the most vital message we can share. Dingoes need to be in our ecosystems and they deserve our respect, not our fear. Presented by Cassie Cole, produced/edited/directed by Lachlan Ryan, and director of photography Joel Famularo.
13.01.2022 At around 14 years young Wirra is a gorgeous older lady who enjoys the finer things in life and is our #DingoOfTheWeek this week! As one of our oldest dingoes currently living at the sanctuary Wirra holds a special place in many of our volunteers hearts. She's still got a bit of cheek for her age and does everything on her time. If you'd like to know more about Wirra or our sponsor program visit our website at https://dingofoundation.org/sponsorship/
11.01.2022 Similar to the evil chemical organisations the makers of 1080 products seem to have all the lobbying ears stitched up - seems like the $ are coming back in, while our struggling wild life pays.
11.01.2022 The gorgeous Sooty will be featuring on our Dingo Cub Facebook Live event this Friday at 11 am! These livestreams are a great way to interact with our volunteers, ask questions and find out more about the Dingo Discovery Sanctuary and Research Centre! They run live directly on our Facebook page so make sure you're on http://facebook.com/dingoHQ at the time to tune in!

08.01.2022 Our sanctuary is not only home to our wonderful dingoes and a diverse array of wildlife, but we have some absolutely gorgeous floral species as well! Spring has well and truly sprung and Robert Ashworth of our biodiversity team has been documenting some of the species he's been finding on the property! He's found patches of Arthropodium strictum, Cryptandra amara, Indigofera australis, Acacia dealbata, Prostanthera of some sort and Beufortia decussata (we think). ... We hope to be able to welcome visitors back to the property soon to enjoy all that our sancuary has to offer. #biodiversitymonth

06.01.2022 Sweet, gentle and a whole lot of cheeky... that's the best way to describe our #DingoOfTHeWeek, Bandit! Bandit loves the volunteers at the sanctuary and makes sure they know it with a biiiiiiiiig dose of kisses! He's a very handsome boy and Hermione's (of Wandi Dingo fame) Dad!! 05.01.2022 We are super excited today to be introducing you to one of our newest additions at the Dingo Discovery Sanctuary and Research Centre, Sooty! Sooty shows a unique coat pattern, sable, which would lead many to believe that he is not a pure dingo... However, DNA testing by UNSW Centre for Ecosystem Science molecular biologist , Dr Kylie Cairns (Dingo Genetics Research), confirmed that Sooty, as he is now affectionately known, due to his unusual dark sooty colouring and in honou...r of the year of Victorias most destructive bushfires, is indeed an Alpine Dingo, a listed Threatened Species in Victoria. Kylie commented that Sooty shows no evidence of domestic dog ancestry and he is a further reminder that wild Dingoes do persist in Victoria. We here at the sanctuary are incredibly overjoyed! For 10 years Victorians have been mislead to believe that Alpine Dingoes have virtually disappeared from the Victorian landscape, so to have another wild Alpine Dingo cub, testing as pure, randomly found just a year after Wandi Dingo, is an absolute miracle. Sooty was found in a zone where Dingoes are actively baited, trapped and shot, so it is likely that Sooty was orphaned and left to starve as a result of his parents being culled. We are indebted to our wonderful volunteer Mel who fostered Sooty and Sassafras for the last 10 weeks before they moved in permanently to the Sanctuary! We will continue to share update on Sooty and his den mate Sassafras via instagram at instagram.com/sooty_dingo
05.01.2022 Can you help put the finishing touches on our new memorial garden? Donate at: https://dingo-foundation.square.site//donate-to-the-aus/6 Over the last few weeks our volunteer team have conceptualised and installed a new memorial garden to remember all the Dingoes that have lived at our sanctuary, and the countless number of those that have been killed over the last 200 years. ... We need around $500 to finish the garden, and to install a plaque with the attached quote. Your donation will allow us to put the finishing touches on this garden which we hope will be a place of solace and reflection. Thanks in advance!
05.01.2022 Our #DingoOfTheWeek this week is the handsome tropical Dingo, Keane! Keane is a sweet, older gentleman who is very selective on his human friends, but once he warms up to you he's a gorgeous and gentle soul. Keane had a rough start to life before he arrived at the sanctuary, but he is enjoying the good life now! ... You can find out more on Keane on our website at https://dingofoundation.org/sponsorship/ and sponsor a dingo in our care!

03.01.2022 See you in an hour for our Facebook live!!
02.01.2022 Previous Saturday - Bonnie is pleased with the new bench that Paul built for her. All dingoes love that Paul and Gale fixed the hole in the fence between the two favourite paddocks, and Gale rises too early for me to catch work pics but everyone appreciates her handiwork with the whipper-snipper.
01.01.2022 To the rescue - World Class Hounds. Getting our cubs to their reserved for ever homes has proven a major headache for us this season. Previously had really negative outcomes when using overland transporters, but this was handled professionally, with updates along the way, and to our demanding instructions. Einstein and his travel companion will arrive at their destinations without trauma. Godspeed little people.
01.01.2022 This week on our Facebook Live you will get a chance to meet the gorgeous Kimmi! Kimmi is a tropical dingo who is a skilled climber, she can't wait to show you her skills! Join us Friday for our gorgeous Dingo Cubs straight to your screens at 11am (aest)! It's a great chance to ask questions and learn more about dingoes! Perfect for the kids (and for the adults too!).... Mark it in your diaries, you won't want to miss out!
