23.01.2022 Just a simple guid to help you identify common problems of plants.
23.01.2022 Spent the morning watering the courtyard and reflecting on how much the garden changes, even in my absence. From day to day, week to week, season to season; and then there are those plants that I thought were lost forever suddenly making an appearance from their deep underground slumber.
22.01.2022 It is still so nice to have everything looking green and healthy.
21.01.2022 When the view from my chair looks this good - why get up?
21.01.2022 How pretty is this flower?
20.01.2022 We’ve been getting some lovely rain here this week and everything is growing well. Luckily I don’t mind mowing cause when the rain stops and the ground dries up I’ve got a bit to do.
20.01.2022 Out in the garden everything has grown and so much is flowering. I mowed the house yard today and it took two hours, but in a few days time I’ll have to do it again. Still beats the hot, dry and fires anyway.
18.01.2022 A walk about the garden to see how it’s all going and I found some fruit to harvest. Passionfruit and choko not quite ready yet. Heard a rumble in the sky, hoping for an afternoon thunderstorm.
18.01.2022 Our puppy clan
17.01.2022 So proud of John and his contribution to the community. We’ve just come back from an awards ceremony where he was presented with a Premier’s Citation for 2019-2020 Bushfire Emergency.
17.01.2022 Some tips about growing geranium cuttings.
17.01.2022 Waiting for some rain but think it’s going to miss us!
16.01.2022 How John spends his spare time. Don’t panic...just a hazard reduction burn.
14.01.2022 So happy to see so many bees and butterflies using the garden designed for them.
13.01.2022 After the rain everything looks bloomin’ marvellous. Especially loving this yellow zinnia.
12.01.2022 We got over 100 mls of rain in October resulting in full tanks and green grass. That meant this week we had to mow. After two days of mowing the grounds look amazing!
10.01.2022 Today I spent the morning tending the Food Court. There was weeding, harvesting and cutting back to be done. I also layed mulch and spread around some fertiliser, watered and sprayed the fence line. Bit more to do, but I ran out of materials. Another trip to Bunnings coming up. And look at our baby pineapple.
09.01.2022 My upside down orchid has a bud on it.
09.01.2022 My constant companions, always by my side. Sheba is taking a moment to sun bake while the children are with me.
07.01.2022 An ants face seen through an electron microscope - stunning! Photographer unknown
07.01.2022 Earlier in the year my dad gave me a bag of sunflower seeds from sunflowers he had grown. I planted all the seeds out and this was the only one that didn’t get eaten by the mice.
06.01.2022 Going to have to try this.
06.01.2022 Of course with the rain the grass began to grow. This is John’s fourth day on the mower trying to tame the wilderness before the next lot of wet comes.
04.01.2022 In the garden this morning. I love hydrangea season.
