19.01.2022 Hi all, As one of many performers across the country- we are all devastated about the effects on our livelihood as well as obviously the livelihood of hundreds of thousands of fellow Aussies. For those of you who dont already know most if not all festivals have been cancelled including the MFSR festival along with Narrandera, the National festival and many others. Not the news we want but understandable in the light of not only the Australian situation but the global... situation. We have cancelled our next local BGBP meeting (Bendigo club Sunday, April 19) and we will keep you posted about the one following, in June. Please look after yourselves it is too easy to get caught up in the emotional overwhelm pushed by the media and the government. Im not making light of the situation however I think it is important to look after own stress levels. Even if things are bleak keep healthy with sleep/nutrition /walks outside/meditation. Look at what you can do not what you cant. There are lots of things to feel gratitude for and even if we have to keep distance from other people talk to your friends and family phone/Facebook et cetera. If we put enough love out there it just may dampen the poor behaviour of those who wish to stock up for the next 20 years. Please all keep well and keep safe and know there will be light at the end of the tunnel. Love to all - keep well, safe and happy. Warm regards Geoffrey See more

15.01.2022 From Caroline Tuohey Just in case you've missed it, Leeton is having an Art Deco Festival - it's in mid July. It's huge - there's so much on, you'll just want to stay the entire weekend and wear all those amazing outfits and accessories every minute of the day and night. There is also something specific for those who love bush poetry and in particular, Henry Lawson. Geoffrey W Graham is going to be performing as Henry Lawson at the house that Henry Lawson lived in, during his time at Leeton. For those who don't know Geoffrey, all you need to know is that he's brilliant. When you see him perform his Lawson performance, it will be like stepping back in time. In fact the entire weekend will be back in time - a razzle dazzle time with bobs, garters, black and white decor and all that jazz

08.01.2022 Hi everyone, three years ago, I accompanied an astonishing group of people committed to going to Beersheba at Israel to take part in the commemoration of the Anzac light horse charge. A few days later we were privileged to go to the Semakh commemoration. I penned a poem while I was there and had the honour to perform it, at Semakh to our guests and our group which included members related to the soldiers who charged at Semakh. I do now have a YouTube based on that day which you can now see for the first time. Simply click the link below https://youtu.be/VekKv2HXheo
