18.01.2022 A "Lean-to" addition to an already existing shed can be a great way to maximize storage space while saving some money. This was a 9.0 x 18.0 x 3.5m Lean-to attached to an existing shed from another supplier. Two sides were left open with one rear wall enclosed. Because the customer had kept the original engineering plans we were easily able engineer the Lean-to addition to ensure that it did not make the existing structure unsafe.

06.01.2022 Made in Australia? Who knows? Don't get the raw prawn. In 2008 the federal and state governments introduced mandatory 'country of origin' labelling for packaged seafood. However it's still possible to buy seafood that was farmed or caught overseas, but processed here in Australia that’s labelled as 'Made in Australia'. ... The same applies for a shed or any steel purchases where the raw foreign made steel is imported and then "rolled" or finished into shape such as roofing iron and shed components here in Australia. Look around town at those fading, chalking roofs and I guarantee you that they are NOT Australian manufactured steel. If you get a quote that’s too good to be true it may be foreign made steel being passed off as Australian Made. Fortunately now that you’re armed with this knowledge it’s easy to spot a fake and here’s how: 1. Look for the proper registered Colorond colour names. These names are trademarked by Colorbond so imported foreign steel suppliers can copy the colour but they can’t copy the registered name. Dead giveaways are the names Smooth Cream, Mist Green, Heritage Red, Mountain Blue and Slate Grey. These are NOT genuine Colorbond names. They are generic names often used for plastic tanks and imported steel for sheds. 2. Colorbond has 22 official registered colours plus Zincalume. Any genuine Colorbond supplier should be able to offer you any of these 22+ colours, not just 4 or 5. 3. Ask the supplier if all the Steel is actually genuine BlueScope Steel. 4. Ask who would back up your warranty if your steel failed? Do you have to contact the foreign manufacturer (if they still exist in 10 years) or can you deal with a long-term trusted Australian Company? If you’ve already purchased your steel, check for the ink branding on the reverse side of the sheet. On fencing look for laser branding on either side of each panel; it appears at least three times in each 2.4 m section. For guttering, you can look on the inside for ink branding, and you will find the protective wrapping that your COLORBOND steel arrives in, is branded too. Genuine COLORBOND steel garage doors are ink branded. This is an edge brand on the reverse side of the sheeting with ‘COLORBOND steel made by BlueScope’.
