25.01.2022 Another local business, this time in Hughenden. We have long been local supplier of septic tanks to Hughenden plumbers and those further west. Give us a call if you also need a septic tank!

25.01.2022 Its taken some hours at the keyboard but we have a new website! Please let me know what you think? Many thanks to special contributors of fantastic imagery - especially Kate Bradshaw who provided the stunning front page photo! (and keep them coming, now I am an expert website designer I can easily swap and add photos!) www.dinocrete.com.au

23.01.2022 INFORMATION on the Queenslands Great Artsian Basin Bore Drain Census: Capping and piping programs, such as the Great Artesian Basin Sustainability Initiative (GABSI) and its predecessor government funded programs have significantly reduced water loss in the Basin. An additional two-year funding package (2017 - 2019) has been provided through the Interim Great Artesian Basin Infrastructure Investment Program (IGABIIP), however these funds will be allocated soon and this will f...und only part of the remaining work. The commencement of the Water Plan (Great Artesian Basin and Other Regional Aquifers (GABORA) Plan) on 2 September 2017 provides a legislative basis for completing this work. The plan requires all bores and bore drains to be made watertight within the next 10 years. DNRME is investigating a funding model for making the remaining bores and bore drains watertight. In order to do this efficiently DNRME are seeking up to date information about the remaining uncontrolled bores and bore drains from property owners. Under the GABORA Water Plan, landholders with uncontrolled bores and/or bore drains must provide a bore management statement to the Department by late October 2018. The Bore Census will provide useful information for your bore management statement including cost estimates of achieving watertight delivery systems. DNRME have commissioned GHD to confirm the number and condition of all remaining uncontrolled bores and bore drains across Queensland. The Bore Census will estimate the cost of achieving watertight delivery systems across the GAB. This data will fast-track decisions on future capping and piping program delivery and potentially decrease program costs, leading to more efficient and sustainable management of GAB water. GHD will contact you about your property, to find out the number of bores on your property, bore location, bore and drain condition, flow rates and other relevant information. This information will be used to make future investment decisions on capping and piping programs (both publicly and privately funded) in Queensland. 21.01.2022 Moody digital art from Jacqueline Curley... evoking the feel of the hot dry days we’ve experienced over the past week. Nearly hot enough to go fencing. https://www.facebook.com/Jacqueline-Curley-Photography-1834473573506133/

21.01.2022 Butcher Contracting team hard at it again

20.01.2022 Fresh water, green feed, lively strapping lad - school holidays starting well!

20.01.2022 Ah, weekends and school holidays...when children learn the value of hard work and what 20kgs feels like in real life! Young Angus unloaded 1.5 tonne of lick by hand (20kg at a time) into Dinocrete lick troughs (with two drain holes and the easy clean floor system that catches any moisture and funnels it out)...the fun part is cutting the bag open!

19.01.2022 Well heres a walk down memory lane! We are cleaning out some files this week (thanks to our year 11 daughter needing some admin work experience, so shes getting very familiar with our filing systems and getting it all tip top organised!). We have owned and operated Dinocrete since late 2002- thats 17 years of working with the people of north west Queensland. Trevor sure looked a lot fresher back in the day!

19.01.2022 We have a fabulous working relationship with many complementary rural business around the north, and one of those is Brodie Agencies. They always take great photos of Dinocrete Troughs when they photograph property listings.... here is another great new property listing - watered with Dinocrete Troughs of course :) http://www.brodieagencies.com.au/property/coralton/

19.01.2022 Here’s a man who likes his loading as neat and perfect as the truck towing the load. He had to pull up and polish some dirt off the bull bar, and of course take a photo of his pride and joy . We have to admit, she does look pretty smicko especially loaded up with some Dinocrete troughs ready to go to work at a bore drain replacement scheme near Julia Creek.

18.01.2022 I think we should call this one is it hot enough for poly pipe laying and trough installation yet? Generally these sort of jobs are saved for when the mercury is rising, just to get maximum enjoyment and job satisfaction. The truck may not be as fancy as our last Mr-Perfect-is-good-enough but the service surely is, with Jimmy from Mustons behind the wheel heading deep into wattle and deep flowing water country. And it goes without saying the 16 foot troughs on board are A number 1

18.01.2022 Young master Flynn making sure that the new milking cow’s trough is in tip top working order!

17.01.2022 It might have been a bit fresh out in the Downs country these past few days, but these cows are looking in pretty good order considering the few "ordinary" seasons weve been having. And pretty happy to be drinking from their new Dinocrete Trough!

17.01.2022 Not only can we supply you with your stock watering needs and advice - or farm grids and embuttments to make sure you dont have to get out of the aircon Ute on the water run - but we can also help solve the nations problems! Corfield locals John and daughter Zoe, along with Trevor getting it all sorted.

14.01.2022 Who knew, just a couple of short weeks ago when I wrote with a light hand, the last post about waiting for the wet season, what was about to unfold. Whilst Townsville floated down the Ross River, inland to the west jubilation has turned to heartbreak for many of our customers and friends, over vast tracts of grazing land stretching from just west of Hughenden through to Richmond, Julia Creek, Cloncurry and north and then south to Winton. Much of this land is under water or wa...terlogged after the past 8+ years of drought. Livestock losses are already staggering due to prolonged exposure to the elements over the past 10 days, or flooding. We offer our sincerest support and best wishes for the days ahead as people desperately try to feed what livestock can be located, and then in the weeks and months following in recovery. Please know we are thinking of you. See more

14.01.2022 Max taking a break from mustering today. #australianstumpytailcattledogs #bossdroverkennels

14.01.2022 I think I said this last year, we are again (still!) waiting for that elusive wet season to have a nice long wet week off, but until then we are open and working flat out to make troughs to keep the water up to your livestock. Or your four legged or even two legged family members!

12.01.2022 Lovely cool morning here in the north, perfect weather for fencing and installing new watering points. Great fencing and shared paddock installation by Kanda Contracting near Torrens Creek.

12.01.2022 The country is drying out from the flooding rains in Feb and people working hard on recovery. A good news story about the flow on effect of how wonderful support and donations help local communities and businesses. (And an older Dinocrete trough still working hard too!) https://www.facebook.com/100000255272203/posts/2466744530010699?sfns=mo

11.01.2022 We are very pleased to welcome Dinocrete Troughs as a supporter of Agistment.net.au Dinocrete Troughs is a family business owned and operated by Flinders Shire... locals Trevor and Sharon Jonsson, who have an intimate knowledge of how their product works, and what might best work for your situation. Next time you need a trough give Sharon and Trevor a call on 074741 7104 or 0427 411728 or visit their website https://www.dinocrete.com.au/

11.01.2022 No doubt about old Gert, shes a goer !! Thanks to Life on Red Hill for this fabulous tale. And after the arduous (and it certainly was, Trevor reckons he wore out his clutch knee) journey the Troughs are looking pretty smicko

11.01.2022 One of the shining lights to come from the devastation that came with the monsoonal event in NW Qld earlier this year, was the creation of the group Sisters of The North. Theyve done some great things, raising funds for affected people to use within their communities - a brilliant idea for local economies. We are proud to be a listed supplier and champion of this groups fantastic efforts. https://m.facebook.com/sotncharity/

11.01.2022 Cold (like icy cold!) or not, nothing will stop a Kelpie from his morning bogey in his Dinocrete Trough

11.01.2022 Head stockman Jimmy checking out the installation of his new Dinocrete trough

10.01.2022 Seasons Greetings to our valued customers and friends, from the team at Dinocrete. Weather permitting (we are all hoping the rivers will be raging and cars bogged in driveways!) we will be back at work on Wed 2nd Jan. Merry Christmas!

10.01.2022 If you have a spare $11 million laying around, go check out this large scale grazing aggregation in the Winton/Middleton district. Of course while it comes with stunning scenery, it also includes some quality Dinocrete troughs! http://www.brodieagencies.com.au//large-scale-breeding-fa/

09.01.2022 Just a reminder of our contact details

09.01.2022 We have a great working relationship with our local and interstate carriers. Today we (actually, our girl Swaggie would like everyone to know there was no we, it was all SHE, the boys were totally bludging) loaded a mixed load of troughs and a septic tank onto Mustons Transport. This load will go in different directions under their capable and reliable steerage.

08.01.2022 When youre trying to relax in the bath after some hard work and someone barges in because they cant find tvremote/sock/jocks/vegemiteinthefridge. #themfeels #mumlife Dinocrete Troughs Pilbara Working Dogs

06.01.2022 The weather is starting to heat up a bit (where are those early storms Hughie?) but these kids from out Boulia way have the right idea! Talked dad into plonking a trough in the house yard and instant swimming pool! Anyone else been swimming in a Dinocrete trough? Send us your pics :)

04.01.2022 Young master Flynn making sure that the new milking cows trough is in tip top working order!

04.01.2022 **CHANGES TO ACCESS TO DINOCRETE*** Please note that ALL traffic access to Uhr Street from Grey Street has been blocked by a permanent traffic island (a surprise to us!) Road trains and body trucks please use Resolution or Flynn Streets off the Flinders Highway whilst light vehicles can of course still use Hardwicke Street. We apologise for any inconvenience or lack of prior notice however we were given none either.

02.01.2022 Squid says nothing beats a good bogie in a Dinocrete Trough (thanks Tenille Flynn for the pic )

01.01.2022 Another local business working hard, laying poly pipe and installing troughs. Good work team!

01.01.2022 Gday customers. The team at Dinocrete are still currently at work plugging away at keeping your livestock watered. Thankfully they have limited interactions with the public. We shall keep working whilst safe to do so or told to close up. If youre coming to load though please call ahead and remember the distancing rules (feel free to stay in your truck cab or stand away in the shade whilst we load). Cheers
