Captured this koala on the road into Cape Otway Lightstation off the Great Ocean Road hanging on for dear life on a very windy day. 16.01.2022 World Rhino Day today!! They are often hard to spot and no huge herds thanks to their threatened or endangered status and their natural habitat. They have terrible eyesight but a great sense of smell and hearing. This wonderful sighting in Lake Nakuru National Park, Kenya while on safari was special to see a new life and how long the mother's horn is! I hope she has not been harmed by poachers and is still living a long life. The memories of a thick cardamon laced coffee in the Middle East, a Vietnamese condensed milk concoction and even a no choice milky coffee only in a Paris hostel run by nuns!! Travel for me has always been a wonderful connector. Experiencing all the cultures of our world, meeting people and enjoying our environment. It has been truly awful to know that our connecting has caused more illness and pain.
