14.01.2022 The older suburbs of Perth are full of these old laneways that run between peoples blocks. They hardly get used anymore, but this one in Yokine gave me good access to the fence I was building. The other end was blocked off , so I had to back the whole way down it with the trailer.... it was a bit of a squeeze, but definitely worth it though!!!

11.01.2022 Retaining different land levels between blocks is often an issue. Retaining walls are quite ugly, and take up valuable space in your backyard. A popular option for retaining up to 600mm of land height difference is to use ‘Allywall’ plinths. Made from aluminium, they won’t rust, they lock together to form a soil proof barrier, and they look very smart! With a 65x65mm post on every panel. 1metre in the ground, with an extra large concrete footing to reinforce the fence, this is an excellent solution to a common problem.

03.01.2022 Doing some work in the country this week, which makes a nice change from the metro area! Great scenery and no traffic on the way to work.

01.01.2022 I might give Donald Trump a call, and show him photos of the big fence I put up this week..... About 4 tonnes of timber and concrete turned over 4 days into a 52metre long pinelap fence,3 metres high in some places!!!!! In the humidity that we’ve had this week, I reckon I lost a few kg’s in sweat!!!... The end result was great, and well worth the effort, with all parties happy with the result!
